Burning Amp 2024!

I met Tom at BA

2018 my first time and I believe your first time. I captured this group photo. What a threesome. Sorry I don't know their shoe sizes.

Try Sequoia National Park for REALLY BIG trees.

The Redwoods are quite incredible too, but honestly, they pale in size with the stuff in the Sierras.

However, since BA24 is not in Bakersfield ( why not? )... If you got time, drive the 101 and US199 all the way to Grants Pass in Oregon... Pretty much the entire drive on the 101 North of Santa Rosa is loaded with fantastic parks. This time of the year it's worthwhile to make the trip. I think in the summer it's foggier, huh?

There used to be this American-Californian diner in South Eureka... Yay! Still there... Kristina's Restaurant... awesome breakfast all day long.

Unless, of course you've had a few Lagunitas IPA, in which case even the small cactus in your room looks impressive... every looks impressive when you're looking up from the couch.

EDIT: How about BAB25 in Bakersfield. Why? Well, I Bakersfield had great bluegrass. Jerry Garcia played a great bluegrass banjo. As he gets older, Nelson Pass sort of looks like Jerry Garcia. Ergo... Bakersfield.
