What horn is it?Rahul's (ra7) system providing mighty fine music on Saturday!
JBL 2384. Driven by JBL2452 with aquaplassed diaphragms.
Thanks again to TomV for organizing this event, Lydia for being a champ in dialing in the audio for us Zoom attendees, Nelson for your continued generosity to the DIY community, all the speakers, and everyone else who helped. Id love to make it to the in-person event someday, but until then the Zoom option is great
I agree, pinkfloyd4ever - what a treat it was to take part in the festival from my own home. Once the Zoom bugs were worked out it was good and I, personally, learned a lot from the presenters. And it saved me some money because, had I seen any of the First Watt amps "in the flesh" I'd be a new owner right about now. So very tempting!

Also a special thank you to Penny for organizing the event with Tom, and for arranging all of the refreshments and the end of the day BBQ.
Also want to share my thanks to Tom and all the other people who made this weekend possible. Really a great time and over too soon.
So the F6 achieved the highest price… isn’t that the easiest to diy out of the three that were on offer?
I take it that all the parts were there and the amplifiers worked...

YES!
Thank you all very much... for everything you all have done.
It had been almost 30 years since I put a PC board together,,, thankfully I found out that soldering it is like riding a bike -the night before I was nervous... "what did I get myself into this time?"... didn't burn the building down and the amps sound really great.
Now, I got the bug again. Hmm... what next? Perhaps an F6M with an expensive transformer? I mean, just because I'm a DIY'er, doesn't mean I'm cheap.... I just prefer VALUE. ;-)
Thanks to everybody... there are too many names... but EVERYBODY was an absolute class act and I made personal contact with people whom I had only met previously over this forum. Now they know I'm not completely nuts... and oddly enough they still liked me. Phew!
A bunch of people with whom I share a lot of hobbies... intelligent people that had intelligent opinions, happy attitudes and were a blast to talk/listen to. And really good audio systems too.
It was my first BA, in a great location. I can not thank you all enough for this.
Oh, and Jim showed me that the darn choke is NOT hooked up across the speaker.... phew! And, I won't forget how he taught this old fart how to think outside the box for a couple of things. Many thanks for all the help on the amps.
Anyhow, THANK TO YOU ALL.... hopefully we'll meet again next year.
BTW. I left before the FW amps hit the auction. I had a 430 mile drive home... so I wanted to get by midnight. I did it in six hours.... OK, that was a excuse.. Wife told me NOT to go nuts on spending money....
