I love this way to build things folks... the "L" shape profile or a flange

into the main heatsink (better to thermal transference as you know)

I feel worried about heat transference from the "L" profile to the main heatsink..even using thermal grease, the area is not fine.

I am posting images..showing a better option for the "L" profile dimensions.

I have posted that picture mainly to highlight a necessity of using heavier (more thick) material of L profile, but it is certainly always better to have contact area as big as is convenient! You are absolutely right there Carlos. I am personally not against L-profiles because if they are of a sufficient thickness and contact surface, they won’t be much behind “directly on heatsink” approach. On the other hand, L-profile will have much lower thermal inertia than the main heatsink, allowing faster thermal--bias regulation.

It's a very good quality amplifier. Although I do not have any equipment to test the amps power. But I have one class D Hypex amplifier to compare the sound. And legend is one of the good quality amplifiers. Sir, if this is not the best then which one of your design is the best (quality wise)?

As I told you Wasim, amplifiers of the Legend series are just reliable middle class "workhorses" without any pretension to be seen in a high-class home listening league. They are not bad amps, but they belong to middle class of my designs as far as quality is in question.
You can find some other designs on my site and some of them belong to much higher class, but my High End designs are not published yet and it's not very likely they will be in a foreseeable future.

Of those already published, better designs (quality wise) are certainly: MODUS (aka TECHNO), STUDIO, DOGC MK3, CROSER, EPSILON-Lavardin, T-Reference, SIGMA and TalismanAG. There are a few new prototypes that should join this list like ALPHA3, GAMMA3 and LAMBDA but we will see. Problem for further researches is money (isn't it always!) and it will have to go slowly as funds permit.

That shouldn’t be a problem Wasim, but I am curious for what will that next project be intended for? Both amps you mentioned are for home listening and belong to higher quality class. MODUS (old name TECHNO) will produce about 80-100W and SIGMA will deliver about 150W on 8 ohms. MODUS might be better and easier as your next project. PCB and Layout files for MODUS are available from me on a direct mail.

One more thing, where are the air-inlets on your Legend amp housing? I can’t see them on those pictures!

Sir, for air inlet I placed two fans at the back of the amp panel is it not enough?

I am not a big fan of simulation and I am using that just as a coarse initial test.
I believe, the only reliable way to find that out is to build SIGMA and measure. Some people that have built SIGMA already, think that it is the one of better MOSFET amplifiers they ever heard and most of them are serious audiophiles for decades.

Dr.Bora, sorry I actually had the Studio amp in mind, not the Sigma. Can you please comment about the Voltage Amplification Stage in the Studio design. It seems to slow down the amp in the sims but does give a vast improvement in THD.

How would you compare your other designs to your latest one -CROSER.
