there will be,but in next 10 days. boards are in Germany where i work, but I am now in my beautiful Serbia for vacation, until orthodox christmas. how does your Sigma progressing?Pics?
Sigma stalled while I wait for a few more little bits for the case to show up...there will be,but in next 10 days. boards are in Germany where i work, but I am now in my beautiful Serbia for vacation, until orthodox christmas. how does your Sigma progressing?
after all the effort you have made, there is no need to rush anything - take your time and finish it patiently.
and so,exactly ten days (and few thousand hours) later... 🙂there will be,but in next 10 days. boards are in Germany where i work, but I am now in my beautiful Serbia for vacation, until orthodox christmas...

I’ve never heard a rational explanation as to why they should be non-inductive. I don’t think you need to be constrained by that idea.72 emiter resistors in 4 pcb's. i should have bought 5W instead 3x2W as i did,but i have had troubles to find them - non-inductive. now they don't look nice, but they will work as they should.

Inductive emitter resistors are not normally a problem in bjt amplifiers. However, as source resistors in latfet amps they are known to be a cause of hf parasitic oscillation.
I'm laying out now , the only issue there could be with a inductive resistor is if it is close to a sensitive circuit or if it can be affected by
some other inductive element , such as a output coil. I've never seen any Wolverines with inductive's , but it would be interesting if this was tested.
I would expect very few PPM's to be introduced.
Mostly a myth , if the layout is right. Like .... don't put a inductive next to a input stage section.

some people claim that they can hear the sound difference between carbon and metal-film resistors in a circuit. i certainly can not but anyway i use metal-film resistors. same reason is why I used non-inductive emiter resistors. i have built it for myself,i have had a time and will to do it - so i did it.I’ve never heard a rational explanation as to why they should be non-inductive. although i wouldn't be sorry if I used 5W inductive resistors too.
ii am not in any way trying to persuade anyone to do anything in any particular way from any particular reason.
this is my hobby, not an obsession 😀
