Only EI ))) at the layout stageI have a Monoliith on my GM70 and Intact Audio on the 300b amp.
I have tried many transformers on both amps, I prefer the Intact Audio on 300b amp and monolith on GM70
They are silky smooth compared to commodity grade transformers

Really nice 🙂 What are these wire terminals you installed on your transformers? Brand/model? Thanks.Only EI ))) at the layout stage
They look similar to some old Soviet solder tag strips I've seen on eBay.What are these wire terminals you installed on your transformers? Brand/model?

It looks like Antique Electronic Supply is these days only selling the One Electron chokes and power transformers, not the output transformers. I nabbed a couple of the output transformers while they still had them (I forget which flavor I nabbed, whether the 3k or the 5k). I also have a pair of Hashimoto OPTs that would probably be nice to try.
Correction - Antique Electronic only has the plate chokes, and they are on back order....

Decided Muse Coils latest offerings were well worth buying .
Mine are designed with their trademark Single Cut C core HiB and double coil layout a personal favourite and wooden plinth top and bottom .
These are 3.5K and 4.5K with an ultra linear tap at %40 .
Ostensively for a KT66/88 Single Ended Ultra Linear operation 7- 8 watts max , but can be used 3.5K - 2A3 /3.5 watts, 300B /8 watts max or a 45 / 4.5K 1.6 watts
They are voiced individually and mine follow the slightly darker tone of Tamura but with the added benefit of bass flat to 20Hz conservatively rated .
Each pair come with full test charts / frequency response measured
The workmanship is excellent and when the first amp is up and running will post more , they are likely to be very high performers !!

Would you share the test data they provided? I haven't ever really seen any data of any kind for these transformers, and typically that's a monstrous red flag.
Hi Audiowize,
I will have to ask the manufacturer first and tektronix gear I use will be in an active amplifier test.
The test data is the most expansive I have yet received from any company so far .
As this thread is primarily for SE300B tubes that will be after the KT88 as a build for me .
The 300B distorts quite heavily over 5-6 watts capacitor coupled ,so I normally limit the amplifier to 6 watts unless its DC coupled
Obviously the driver circuit is very important and will likely use a E280F or C3g in triode mode , a 6E5P in triode is also very clean .

I am totally agree; it is always a problem to get the right data and some real test.
I suppose that to put on desk the right instruments to have a clear idea on performances is not cheaper.
This offline, only trafo, or online, with tube.
One example about test
Hi
in attach the first proto of 300B OT with nano
It is 3k primary
5 ohm secondary (single)
Around 40H -100Hz but some adj with gap will be possible.
At the end it will be potted.
The first test are almost fine.
The Freq. answer; there is a little step at 50kHz, but it will be fixed
Zs are 700 ohm (blu) and 1 kohm (red)
At thr moment out of the power stage that will be ready soon
The phase
cancelled due an error

Latest data after being wound exact primary x2 - measured output @ 3.32K - 15Hz-50kHz -1dB @ 16 ohm loaded and now wound to 4.6K primary - 15Hz -52kHz @ 16 ohm loadedDecided Muse Coils latest offerings were well worth buying .

Hi Grid01,
You own the transformers and measurements, you're free to do anything with them, no need to ask me.
I'll be curious if the voicing of the transformers will match your taste. All best wishes considering the build.
Hi 50AE I expect better results from your transformers than the Tamura I currently own both new and older permalloy models .
