Ok, that's fine. BenQ use AU Optronics LCD's. They are OK, definitely fast enough, but I would rather have 16mil colors vs. 262k.
$16 mill
Same......I'd take 16mill over 262k any day, but unless your friends w/ superman, or the bionic woman....no one will know. Anyway here's a screen shot of my wall, it was about 80" diag (before widescreen). I really need a triplet, its not focusing as good as i'd like, especially text. Also on a side note the vb50hrtv is doo doo. I'm running my xbox thru it (4 games) and it doesn't handle fast motion 2 good. Any1 got a better solution?

You say that fast motion is a problem.... could you elaborate? I would have thought that with a 16ms response time motion would be fluid smooth. I wonder what the deal is...
vb50hrtv
what kind of problems are u having w/ the vb50? i use it w/ my xbox/ps2 on a lcd and a crt and it seems to do just fine, its rated refresh rates are at least 60Hz across the board. Is it blurring or something? perhaps you haven't configured the vb50 or the lcd correctly?

Hummm Excuse my Retardedness But what does 16 million via dithering mean?, do LCD projection panels do the same thing?( I currently have a 16 mil one and It looks great to me) also as for the video not looking good via the xbox games, is it tearing ? at 16 ms it should be able to keep up with the game, Hummmm

He does not mean the benq monitor. He is refering to this.
VB50HRTV
SouthparkAq,
I tried every resolution, and refresh rate combination and they all look bad. The text is fuzzy, and black horizontal lines appear during fast motion...its like I can see the interlacing. I've tried it w/ my LCD, and CRT and I get the same results. How do u have to configure your monitor? I just plugged it in. I AM using the composite input, but why would it look worse than is does on my tv? I'll wait until I get an advanced av pack to try the svideo before it goes back on ebay. Im pissed because I spent a few days lookin at different vga boxes, and this seemed like it would give the best quality for a non p-scan box(i didnt feel like cable swapping all the time).

yo evidence..or anyone else. Do you know the exact specs (or link) of where to get those 2 flat cables. The one already in it will work but I kinda want longer ones because its easier to work with. Anyone know?
I found an interesting link for the Benq fp567s. Seems this guy is selling them new, at cost ($357cdn $264US), if you buy one of his used computers. He's located in Nova Scotia for all you Atlantic Canadians. The price is the best I've seen in this part of the country.
great if you, or a friend
needs a cheap PII computer.http://www.computerremarketing.net/

Why buy the 567 since the only difference compared to the 557 is that it has integrated speakers? Also, you can get the 557 for $260 shipped without any need to purchase an old computer....
Great price, but alas they only ship within the US. For the Canucks in this forum, cross border shopping can get real expensive with shipping costs, and exhorbinant brokerage fees,
that some of the better known shipping companies charge to get it through customs.

lol
Yeah, I hate UPS.. I was so happy when the projector turned up (by UPS) and the guy handed me the big box and then asked me to sign. Then I asked.. what kind of fees are there? and he said, none.
I was so happy.
USPS is really good to Canada, it comes pretty fast, cheap and best of all no crazy fees.

Well when it comes to UPS if you have the person fill out a customs form and say " Gift" on it you wont be charged any fees or brokerage duties at ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Hmm, I was sure that gifts had to be <$50 to be tax exempt. Which in this case it was anyway, but I thought something so big, no way they wouldnt tax it.
