You already have Bill Fitzmaurice DR tops?
Yes he already have a DR tops.
I want him to compare his PA system with the one we get him.

I have been dreaming about the radian 475pb with some dds horn and 2*10" setup for a while. but I am a complete noob at PA.
hiyaThree weeks and four days to go.
So we decide not to play my husband old pa setup at his surprise party. We will use the new design from here and have a engineer to connect it up for us.
We need a PA topend horn drawing that play from 150hz up. Some easy to build.
exponetial mid horns wil be quiet a bit bigger then an normal br settup, but they make it up in efficienty.
if you let me know what size your looking for i can try put something on paper.

Hi epa,
Just some quick questions. Are you comfortable with a 5.4:1 compression ratio with this driver? What are you proposing for the high end?
For a 22" x 22" front enclosure size I end up with 2732.90cm^2 for the maximum front opening.
Gotta run.
Regards,

natherny asked me in a pm if a flh would be posible, hence this sugestion.
crossing @ 150 excursion would be no more then 2mm.@50 volts
2732 sd * 2
no sugestions 4 the top .

Hi Nathenry,
Epa's suggestion is for a mid-horn, this will not cover the high end, let's say above 4 or 5kHz (a rule of thumb is to have a horn cover about 4 octaves, at the most).
Which Fitzmaurice DR tops are you going to replace? There are now four different ones, but they all have extended high frequency response through some form of tweeter array. See, e.g.: DR200
You'll either have to add tweeters to epa's mids, or add another box on top of that.

Hi Nathenry,
Here are some auction links: NEW HORN TWEETERS SPEAKERS 16 PACK PIEZO PA DJ + 4 FREE | eBay, this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TWEETER...512?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ad1336b00, and this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/PIEZO-TWEET...238?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20c03b48ee
They just caught my eye, but I have no personal familiarity with the products or the sellers. I have used a Motorola piezo that looked just like the little square horns in the Bozak "cutout of sphere" arrangement in groups of 8 and 16 (a long time ago); and, with the proper crossover/resistive pading, they worked fine.
