Hi Nathenry,

Post #101: "...you said the port length is 10" long"

That was in one of the earlier editions. The last drawing, and Hornresp input screen are correct: the slanted corner board is 12"deep, you add to that the thickness of the Front-outside (filler) board, and you get a duct length of 12.709".

Looks like you're having access to a nice wood working shop. Hope you get it done in time, and keep the pictures coming.

Regards,

Nat,

You could probably remove a cars windows with a few of them.

As you have probably guessed many of us have been watching this project from a distance to make sure everything is all good. I'm quite sure your soldier boy is going to like them. 🙂

Sincerely,
revb.

Three weeks and four days to go.
So we decide not to play my husband old pa setup at his surprise party. We will use the new design from here and have a engineer to connect it up for us.

We need a PA topend horn drawing that play from 150hz up. Some easy to build.

You already have Bill Fitzmaurice DR tops? I don't have any personal experience with them, but they have a fairly good reputation... and certainly aren't easy to build....

Not to be a wet blanket, it's awesome that you're building him new subs, but why do you want to replace the DR tops? Seems like it might be easy to do worse than the DR tops.... just a thought. Maybe there is another part of the audio system that is more ripe for replacement?
