The “Universal” rectifiers that support CT transformer connectivity do not use the Analog Devices LT4320 controller.
Hello Giallograle (post #2534),
I have used right angle (90 degree) aluminium-profiles to mount the solarinverter-heatsinks to my frames of the amp.
You could also mount them to the baseplate and top lid. But those heatsinks are heavy! They can bend a case without
some stiffening.
Cheers
Dirk

For the XA252 I am using black microphone cable where red + is connected too the pcb - input and ground wire to the + input and shorted to the gnd. Speaker outputs are also reversed for the positive 2 nd harmonic phase.now, can you describe that signal wiring , from RCA to pcbs?
White interconnect cable is connected to the FW F5m input. F5m boards are not connected to the psu. Should I remove this interconnect cable if I am not using F5m boards?
NTC SL22 is used to connect gnd to earth using quite long cable next to the power connector.
My transformer is 2 x 18 AC and connected parallel for max VA. LT4320 is connected like two separate psu boards. No center tapped connection from donut. After caps positive and negative rails are connected together to get the gnd. PSU pcb is like a universal power supply that is sold in diyaudio store.Very difficult to see how psu is wired, but LT4320 active rectification cannot be used with center tapped transformer configuration.

Seems like that. I removed the white unused rca cable and now I do not have that small hum anymore. Thank you! 😀antenna
Hi Dirk, the cases look straightforward. Did you build them from aluminium section, and can you get pre-cut parts?
Hello Giallograle,
those ALU-profiles I used are often called 'BOSCH' -profiles or have other names... They are used extensively in the photovoltaik-branch and in the machine -engineering area.
My ones were bought from german companies (Blank-Profiltechnik) precut to my desired lengths - easypeasy. The profiles are not that expensive.
https://www.ebay.de/str/blankprofil...vNjbb_DtDlL4TlE28UlESo75u8nERFP4ptBKzS27ngW_c
But the right angels to connect them together with the other hardware like screws, nut-bolts,.. they sum up.
Cheers

Hi ZM,
I read in another thread about a resistor/optocoupler mod for Babel XA252.
Could you please elaborate what the purpose of adding the parallel resistor does? I’d like to know if this is something I should add to my MOS version while the boards are on my bench. Thanks!

Ok, will do👍🏻
I’d like to elegantly tuck in a 1206 size resistor between opto pads 1 and 2.
Unless a through hole version is required for wattage reasons.

You mean parallel with V1 and V2 LM385-1V2 ?yeah, 220R across LED diode part of optos, both
so, pins 1 and 2
elevating protection threshold from 10A to appr. 15A
easiest to do underneath

yeah

exactly
