Yes, if that is possible.
Replicating the "triode like" curves using bjt's or mosfet's?

Yes, I have looked at 2SK170/2SJ74 many times. I have the flu in the moment so I am excused.
But SIT's curves does nok look quite as good as a real triode but compensates for not needing a OT etc.?
I read a statement which I do not know is correct. It was that a real triode tube is still the most linear active amplification device that exist as a "standalone" device with no global NFB used.

as I said, what counts is final result

internet is especially convenient place that everyone and his cousin are having an opinion ........ besides having some bodily openings,, as saying goes

in short - whenever you read something even bordering broad generalization, take it as hardly useful

fact is - and I know it from own experience - less someone knows, it's more eager to obsess with (wrong) things he's not knowing well enough ...... and - more often than not - to declare universal truths

but, useful examples how to beat on another drum are all around - just see how Pa made a Dynasty - using parts primarily constructed to work as switching devices - IRF(P) mosfets

and remember that start of PL had all products exclusively with mosfets as actives ........ small Toshiba audio JFets came laaaater

moral of the story - take good care what can be rip out from proper context ........

another example of beat........... besides Pa, another guy owning all of his Cojones:
