Again excuse the pic - The Tannoys love the F8s, the Sissy. the XA252, a F3 .......
Yes, as ZenMod says, they all sound the same...... nevertheless, your preferred order in engagement, dynamics and detail retrieval?Again excuse the pic - The Tannoys love the F8s, the Sissy. the XA252, a F3 .......
Right now Sissy ... XA252 ... F8.... SB Not much difference in preference ranking . I could easily exclusively live with any of these. They all are foot tapping. Also probably depends what I am listening to and my mood. I need more time with F8 and play all the amps again.
My phono pre is Softone 4 and my pre is Iron Turtle which I think really enhanced the system. Room is 20 x 28 ft with ceiling sloped from 8 to 12 feet

Thanks, Appreciate your subjective views. I too have been listening to the Sissy output stage (with Hall chips). Speakers are FostexFE168Sigmas + Fountek Ribbon, Topping D90 III Discrete, Raspberry 5/Volumio/Allo Shanty Streamer. The musicality, transparency and dynamics of the Sissy are nearly something to die for. I think it is a very under-rated amplifier.Right now Sissy ... XA252 ... F8.... Oh, that's great!
And as I see, you use some psychoacoustical tuning elements on top 😀

Then we have a plan....... after BAF, up to Papa's to check is my Workshop finished and ready, few days walking at SR shores, then back to Davis to see Cyclotron, then back to my Kido in Miami

Although ZM is not unlike many who wonder around North California in looks.
At the risk of implying politics in a post, I am concerned for all who come to the USA to travel right now.
Many have been illegally detained. Some of EU have put out travel warnings. It could be worst later, not better.

sounds perfect !!!!!
sounds perfect !!!!!
Although ZM is not
do not worry ........ The World is my Oyster
though, major obstacles are:
- money, more or less easily solvable,
- Visa, that almost on verge of my tolerance to BS. Should I declare that I'm Apache, so Native, so WTF would I need a Visa?
Say you’re from Greenland coming over to sell it for glass pearls and hooch.
Now now Gentlemen.

I hate that show.... I mean, I like it a lot, but Manuel is NOT from Barcelona. Nobody in Barcelona acts or talks like Manuel. Actually, he was a German actor, Andrew Sachs. IMHO, it is character assassination. That's why the English get stuck going to Torremolinos.... don't let them get off the freeway until they're down in Andalucia.
Cal is right.... no politics please. ( I got very thick skin... that's likely the only one I find somewhat offensive... )...
Alek, ZM, don't worry about visiting the US, it's fine. The mainstream media likes to blow things out of proportion, they always do, they got to pay their bills...
So, you really are gonna come to BAF25? Hopefully we'll meet. We're planning on a trip to Japan, a whole month, in the Fall. Might buy some stuff in Osaka... not going to Akihabara. I think you could do a Tour of the USA and meet a whole bunch of us. I might even have my new German cartridge by then.
Those figures on top of the speakers... Don't they walk off the edges when you crank them? OTOH, I got some stuff my daughter made and it works nicely as mass damping on top of the speakers.. or so I think. At least the wife thinks speakers are made as stands for other things... so happy wife...
About the F8. I noticed that the FW F8 specs show only 15w into 4 ohms and 25 into 8... IT's almost a throw back to the F3 in running single ended. What is its appeal? The use of the SemiSouth R100 SiC?
