B1 with Korg Triode

ZM Soft Heat Boards - Updated gerber file w/ 2 extra mount holes (reference post #8615 and "build guide thread")

@Zen Mod was kind enough some time back to update his Korg B1 NuTube Soft Heat board with a couple extra mount holes per a request I made. I asked if he would post them for others, and he told me to "bugger off" and do it myself 🤣 (in jest of course). So I'm posting his gerber files with his approval in the attached zip file and also including a Mouser cart link for those interested. I still have a bunch of premade kits for this on hand for dirt cheap. However, I'm sure for those outside the US, it's cheaper to get the PCBs from JLCPCB and parts from Mouser directly.

Thank you Zen Mod for a great little ad on option for those of us wanting a little extra assurance we don't damage that precious Korg NuTube.

PSA for all NuTube enjoyers. I run my B1 through a set of ACA mono blocks and I recently noticed that the soundstage was shifted significantly to the left. I tried switching speakers, switching the amps, same result. Finally I opened up the B1 to remeasure everything, I found that T7 and T8 had drifted significantly with one reading 9.2 and the other reading 9.8, reset everything to 9.5 and all is good again. So I guess it's worth rechecking every once in a while.
Thanks for the tip! The channel balance in mine also had drifted noticeably to the left. On checking T7 and T8, they were now about 8.7 V. Setting them back to 9.5 V fixed the balance issue.

Strange that the bias setting drifting equally in both channels affects the channel balance like that.

I ordered 10 of these boards, thanks Birdbox en Zen Mod, at JLCPCB. Two are for my audio friend Eef and so 8 are available for cost of post and packaging, within Europe (yes, also our friends from the UK are very welcome). I went for low shipping cost so they are a few weeks from delivery.

Never mind,I figured out you have to unzip the zip file to get to the real gerber file..
This has been fixed now. Apologies for the zip in a zip issue. I'll do better next time :smash:

@6L6 helped swap in the correct zip file. Thank you Jim!

Zen Mods Soft Heat "V2" (added a couple mount points on the PCB) is in post #8788 along with a link to a Mouser cart. Just download file, drag onto the JLCPCB upload spot, and choose your color and qty.
