Tried 44.1 and 48 and also 88.2 and 96 - same issue. I have also played music at different rates to check (no go).
Seems it just a PLL with a 10MHz OCXO as reference clock.
And it's in square wave outputs so I don't think you will need the SinePi.
And only 11.2896M output can be used for FifoPi, it also dons't have any MCLK frequency to support 48KHz family.

Hi, I don't know what has happened. I set up my fifopi on the stationpi, with a Neutronstar 2 as external XO, with transportpi feeding my dac via BNC. The sound was incredible, honestly best I've ever heard from my system.
I had to unplug it yesterday and now once I have replugged it back in and powered it all up, the fifopi seems to have stopped working. I've triple checked it's all wired properly. I have the buffer led stuck on empty (red), green led stuck on xo 2 (whether clock is attached or not) and the input led won't light and my dac doesn't recognise any source attached. I've tried putting fifopi directly on top of the rpi 4 but the input led still won't light up. All I did was restart the power.
Does anyone have any ideas?

My Fifopi just arrived, and I am stuck on the empty LED keep being lit as well. I have no idea whats going on but I try it with volumio, picoreplayer and ropieee. My guess is yes. There are two problems with Rpi as a source. Bad clock at 48k (if I recall) and like every computer, noise.
This device could address the sample rate/clock issue. At under $20 plus power supplies it would be worth a try.
The full solution is of course something like iancanada fifopi which reclocks and isolates the rpi. But a totally different price point and a platform for continuously improving power and clocking so it can get very expensive if you go for sota.

Noise from the input is not an issue with a competently designed DAC. Clock doesn't matter if you have an ASRC.

It will recalculate the bitstream to not being bit correct anymore. This is what this FIFO tries to avoid and is all about really. .. keep bit transparency while still using a fix oscillator.
