Can anyone tell me the difference between Station pi pro and Station pi smt. I see that the Pro has an extra PCB but how would they be used differently?
Thanks
Thanks
Yes, I know that... but it's about the clicking between changing numbers.@JMD3254 You are wrong in how it works.
It doesn't just charge between songs, it charges when it's silent.
Big difference.
So even in a song when it turns silent, the relay will switch and it will start charging.
small audio test, in my ears the ian canada streamer sounds best then the pink faun dac3 (allo usb bridge signature) then the protodac and finally the khadas tone1.
it is best to listen to the youtube video through headphones.
self-build streamer/dac sound comparison.
all stream from the same file (FLAC) CD quality.
𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙧/𝙙𝙖𝙘 𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩:
ian Canada with the ES9038Q2M Dual Mono II dac.
Pink faun dac3 usb with allo usb bridge signature.
ProtoDac 8x TDA 1387 parallel.
khadas Tone 1, usb.
Of course I never get the output of all equipment the same, so don't take it too seriously, you have to hear it live to hear the small differences, but perhaps it can already be heard now.

Same thing. No audio means clicking.Yes, I know that... but it's about the clicking between changing numbers.
Doesn't matter if it's silence in a track, or silence at the end of a track before moving to the next.
Also, looking good with the matching rack on the right side ;-)
I can't remember if I posted about this in this thread, but just in case I did, I wanted to let everyone know I now know what the issue was. I recently added a 5" touch screen, and after doing that I had a few issues, which i was able to resolve with help from Volumio. One of the problems that occurred and thinking back on this I'm not sure how I did this for a couple reasons. Here's the issue I was having. At some point I guess I had logged out of Tidal. I definitely did reinstall Volumio, but I can't remember if it was before I had the issue, regardless as it turns out that wasn't the problem.
The problem I was having is I couldn't play anything basically from Volumio, it had to be from Tidal connect. Any time I tried playing from Volumio, I would get the "failed to connect" error. I was at the point where I had just decided I was gonna have to live with it because I couldn't figure out what was going on. And nothing was showing up now from Tidal in Volumio. Not my playlists albums, artists nothing!
Here's the short version. I was wondering what if any price difference there was between Quobuz and Tidal, and I figured the easiest way, was to login to Tidal to see my plan. The funny thing was, it said I didn't "have a subscription" at this time or something. I was like, yeah I do and I just saw the payment on my bank statement. That when I realized I was logged into the wrong account. I have no idea how when or why i would have set up two accounts with two different emails...but I had.
This has been driving me nuts too, because it was fine before. I realized a little while ago it had to be something like this, because there was nothing else left to try. I deleted that other account so this won't happen again, but just though I'd share because I would have loved to be able to find info like this when I was racking my brain trying to figure out what i screwed up!

okay, I got the FifoPiQ7ll and connected it. Unfortunately the settings in Q7ll do not improve the click of the relay is still present.is there a possibility to update the software of the MonitorPi pro?
I'm on version 2.5 and I get that click of the relay every time during the next song.
would be nice if we could update to 2.6.
Yes I know. But trying the first setting FifoPiQ7ll (delay time) to 1. As point it and does not make any difference.

The delay option in the FifoPi has to do with buffering. How many tenth of seconds are buffered on the FifoPi, before it's being output to play via something.
That is something completely different than the sync option between MonitorPiPro and UC Conditioner or PurePi II.
Very simple, what you need is that firmware upgrade from @iancanada for the MonitorPiPro, if even possible because we don't know that as it's not described anywhere if that even is a possibility.

I bought a second-hand Neutron Star 2 reclocker and Ian Canada SinePi.
I want to make this work via the Q7ll with the ES9038Q2M Dual Mono II dac on top.
Now this DAC can work between 22.5792MHz to 98.3040MHz.
Now I want to take one of 45 MHz, where and which one is best to take or do I have to take other specifications into account?
now it has one of 8.467200 MHz.
thanks.

all SMA connections from the Sinepi to the external clock are ready.
just treat the edges with copper tape.
