With some topology, wider loop gain can have monotonic harmonic profile.

For me, it is not too hard to get lower static distortion (like THD or IMD) or to get harmonic profile which I like. But it is hard to deal with dynamic distortion, example: distortion that cause by thermal changing (thermal environment and thermal modulation by signal), etc.

MJL21194 has fT only 4Mhz. You should check your simulation, because MJL21194 can not work with high slew rate. If your amplifier's slew rate is high, better to use MJL3281A https://www.onsemi.com/pdf/datasheet/mjl3281a-d.pdf
