The last time I cooked with "wood smoke" we were bruning out the stump of a maple tree. I threw a grill on it and cooked burgers... They were ashey AF but they weren't bad...

These days, I do it all in a cast iron pan. The only smoke comes from the meat or the fat burning off of the stove.

Ebay gamble transistors arrived today, and they are all incredibly consistent for Hfe.

2SA733P grade mode about 390, outliers span 356 to 430 - pretty much K grade (300 to 600Hfe) - outliers compose about 10% only.

Given the price I am surprised.

I've been working for speaker parts... last project ordered drivers (only) for the infamous SR71. I'll be sandbagging the cabinet plans and crossover schematic off the website.

I was expecting them to grade at the low end of their gain band, or be fake, but they appear totally genuine.

Spurred on by recent purchases, and somewhat automatically, I ordered 100 j176, and other fave devices, low TC references, and HV BJTs and stumbled upon a gem!
