I used my JLAmp1200D with an +/-50VDC SMPS supply. No noise or hiss encountered in sound quality tests

Hello jlester87, the beat frequency is presented in the class D amplifier is a reality when a switching power supply used.
with linear processors and you make no noise tests
PS: the above does not apply to the amp with IRS2092

How many watts can this do into 8 ohms?

JLAmp1200D with +/- 85V DC rail voltage can do 450W RMS Power @ 8 ohms. How many watts can this do into 8 ohms?
Although in my actual power measurement, I only got 390W at clipping point due to voltage sagging of the power supply that I've used. Here's the latest measurement of my JLAmp1200D with a pair of IRFP90n20d mosfets. The nominal rail voltage is +/- 85V DC, the rail voltage in the table is the sagged voltage measured at clipping point.

Thanks for the reply. How would you rate this amp for Hi end duty on some ATC passive monitors?
Regards
Full-range sound of JLAmp1200D is good, crystal clear and no noise. But for the extra detail and full-bodied midrange sound, I recommend my JLAudiophile-250D amp for high end speakers.

I just bought a Watt Meter,
Here are the measurements of JLAmp1200D with 2 pairs of IRFB4227 mosfets. (Measured in 220VAC mains socket)
The system consists of 1500VA EI Core Transformer, Softstart circuit, Speaker protect circuit and JLAmp1200D Module.
Total idle system power consumption when amp is self oscillating: 37W
Total idle system power consumption when not oscillating: 26W
System power consumption with JLAmp1200D module removed: 25W

System power consumption with Softstart and Speaker protect circuit removed: 24.7W
So the biggest power consumer here is the Linear supply (EI Core Transformer, parallel bridge rectifier, Filter Capacitors): 24.7W
JLAmp1200D Module Self Oscillating: 11W.
Softstart Circuit and Speaker Protect Circuit: < 1W
At mute mode, JLAmp1200D is consuming just less than a watt.

Been able to test the stereo sound of JLAudiophile-250D, I'm very happy because it was better in every aspect (bass response, mids, highs, ambience) compared to my previous IRS2092 ebay amp The details were the same but the mids are more fatter / rounder and the highs are more softer and more pleasing
I bet it will perform better in objective measurements / tests.
I'll update the BOM with the parts I used...
