In the process of ordering a Toroid from Airlink in the UK had email asking Is the 2 x 18V transformer you require a loaded or unloaded voltage? I assume unloaded ??

I think I know the answer to this, but double checking just in case. My Kit only came with oneBD140. This is the type of BD140 that does not
have the exposed metal on back, all plastic. Face of piece says BD 140-10.
I have on hand some BD140 that are plastic back, but faceplate says BD140-16, rather than BD140-10. I assume this is a good choice, -10 vs -16
unimportant here? Or should I seek duplicate part instead?

Finished my Aleph Jzm today! I followed the excellent and very detailed build guide. A completely trouble-free build. I've only listened to a couple of records so far, but first impression is very good. Thanks to everyone who has made this project possible!

I bought two of the parts kits. Can anyone let me know the part number/vendor of the 3W resistors? Also who makes the metal film resistors? 1/4 or looks more like 1/8 watt

I didn't make the kits. But I imagine the gentleman who did got his mountain of parts from Digikey and/or Mouser - both trusted suppliers of quality industry leading parts.
@celticray - If you're looking for suitable parts to swap or need replacements, you can use whatever pleases you. "Plain vanilla" is just perfect. The big resistors in the kit are 3W MOX from KOA, and all the rest are Yageo if that's of interest.

Hi there, I'm in the process of gathering parts and currently that means PSU capacitors, I have diyaudio/store Univeral PSU board. I'm in a remote part of Australia (Esperance) so not too many electronics parts shops worth visiting for 700km. I've been looking and found these, https://www.digikey.com.au/en/products/detail/chemi-con/ESMH630VSN223MA80U/13247322, they're 22000uf, 63v and ESR 11mOhm @ 120Hzmy. Concern is the lifetime @ temp. 2000 Hrs @ 85°C.

if going with prescribed Donut voltage, 25Vdc caps are perfectly OK, 35Vdc caps are even more perfect
