thanks for the help oks81. god knows i need it.Hello 🙂
Iq for this one is about 1,5A pr channel. Measures 0,36V over resistor.
Resistors in CRC is same setup as standard FW PSU.
Thinking also toroid is a bit hot....but really don`t know what`s going on.. 🙂
oks
measure exact AC at bridges and exact DC at rails
what value of CRC you have put on cap bank PCB?
what is Iq per channel?
ac after rectifier are 22v. dc out from psu are 21.7 bettween gnd v+ v- on both sides and the iq is as oks81 helped me with 1,5a
the caps on the psu are 15,000uf 35v the rest of it is as far as i can see the same values as the building description
got it wrong the first time around so i have to write this post 🙂
Ac from transformer is 18,45 on one side and 18,41 on the other dc after rectifier is 22v and 21,7 between gnd v+v- on both sides

buy another one , same , Donut and implement it
no more overheating
when you have it , ask and we will help how to do it in best way

Ok my bad! But is this the bias of yours or Nikkos amp?
Nikko`s amp, I am just trying to help him a bit 🙂
I don`t have Aleph.

Two donuts?
Paralleling no good idea... just use one secondary from each?
I believe the Mighty ZM is suggesting a dual mono power supply. One complete transformer, pair bridge rectifiers and capacitor bank for each channel. It should sound very nice that way...
This would certainly work as well. One transformer with parallel secondaries driving +V into the capacitors, and the second transformer driving –V.Parallel the secondaries on each transformer, and use 2 transformers into the one PSU
But I still like dual mono. I'm planning an Aleph J build of my own in the near future and will be using this same chassis with a pair of Antek AS-3220 transformers into a pair of diyAudio PSU boards populated in a very similar manner.

we'll arrive at how ..... 🙂
Tungsten solution will be best, also most expensive...
Paralleling transformers and one will always work harder than the other..

Mighty ZM is doing paralleling only after bridges
🙂
and who sez that there will be paralleling?
