take a look at PL amps having Al ground plane and rails
they're not chickened regarding wire isolation in long term
this is not concrete shaker or Car

Gotcha. Several ways, but how would you route them?

I would try it shortest path first, just ensuring that wires going to pcb are apart of rails wires

gnd plane is so big that I'm not expecting any significant pulsating field there

Thanks! I can save only a couple of centimeters going over the ground plane. Difficulty is that since neg and pos rails are lower than ground plane, tap wires will follow the last rail wires if I choose the shortest route. The suggested way (in pic) avoids that, keeping the wires off the inductors and ground plane, tapping from the back. Am I misunderstanding or can the way on the pic be a good place to start?

Whenever I have some doubt about possible shorts, I use Kapton tape to insulate the components.

Gradually assembling the pieces for my dream Aleph J -- I think I have everything ordered (except chassis).

I was only able to locate 3 of the .47ohm 3 W resistors for the PSU (R1-8). Since I'm doing a dual, I'll need 16 total. I've tried to find substitutes on Mouser and Digikey with no luck. Can anyone suggest what I could use?

Thanks very much -- really appreciate you all. I'm new at this, but enjoy trying to learn-- and loving putting these things together.

Order placed -- not sure how I missed that, but it does get a little dizzying. In the end I do think it's fun to source all these parts individually. Takes time compared to the other builds I've done here with full kits -- hopefully I'm learning something and it's a little less "paint by number" as one member once described it.
