It took a while but I read the whole thread ,Got my boards today from the DIYstore,got them here fast too,Thanks Guys!
I ordered the jfets that were there and just pulled one out of each "B" bags and they matched,lol.
I put them in a F5 and all metered up correctly ,I will test the rest of them tommorrow,
I'd like to THANK 6L6 for the build GUIDE/thread and helping with the R27 thing,It finally sank in after I read the thread and figured out what the circuit does,
so It's time to build one and see!or should I say hear,lol.

Maybe this has been asked and answered before...
But, what are the chances of getting a working (and good sounding!) amplifier using some of the Cree SiC MOSFETs on the output? Now that Semisouth is gone, I wonder how the other SiC FETs stack up.

look for 6L6's thread about his J with Semisouths (forgot exact name of thread/amp ; Jango ?)
but , it seems nobody played with Cree's , even if I remember seeing curves here and there , nobody published anything about actual use in amp and measurements
though , both my memory and sight aren't most brilliant

Anyone using a Heath-kit -IT3121,It reads Jfets fine ,I can't get a mofset to read anything but reverse breakdown,I am building another circuit for them to use with a scope,

another small progress due to tight budget,collect parts slowly. I have watched umut1001 ebay kendeil item for long time, but never clicked "buy" button, mostly because of the price and shipping cost 🙁 but being patient lead me to local senior diyer who does not need his big caps anymore and I pickup his

sure, dual mono will be the plan. 2 talema 225VA beneath those caps will be next things, but it will be the matter of $$$, got talema importers here 😀 and other parts on pcb are easily available.

I picked up some of the LSJ74 grade C jfets from the DIY audio store, they were the only ones they had in stock at the time. The idss is supposed to be between 10 and 20. Is this range too wide to be used in the Aleph, and is there a way that I could test them with a DMM to match pairs better ?
