Hi Teake,

First listen for a while, and see how you like the music!

When you want to upgrade, consider a complete new design.

Thinking back in the thread, I think you should consider coils in your power supply. That should cut back on the 50Hz you hear. Only that can be expensive, in a double mono power supply that would mean four coils.

Another thing I would try when I had your amp, is something simple. Check what the system does when you parallel the two mono supplies into one single supply. Your caps are small, and maybe (just maybe) it functions better as one large supply instead of two small ones. Depends on how hungry your speaker is.

But don't forget, as long as you are tweaking, you cannot listen to music! I will not touch my Aleph 5 until I have my Aleph X finished!

Greetings,
Harry

Hi there!
Another question: I. am running now for a week or so and the sound is great, holografic, so I decided to measure the outputs again, now I am measering on one side between 5 and 10 mv and on the other between 20 and 25mv, so thats a difference of 15mv, can that harm? When I started playing music there was a difference of 5 mv. Greetings teake.

Hi Teake,

I Like my aleph 5 more than the aleph X. I gave the aleph 5 more Bias because i have 3.4 ohm speakers. Now i have around 90 watt per channel. The aleph x is not so holographic as the aleph 5. Maybe it has bigger caps 6*47.000 for one channel (i will change it for an Aleph 5 soon !). Try those silmic caps 🙂

Hi guys!
Here I am back again
