that,s great, thanks. have you build too? I did not put the amplifier on my own speakers, I will do that tomorrow. I had them on 4 ohm speakers and mines are 8 ohm and a little expensive, so I would not dear to prove the aleph on my own, before I was sure, he was oke. greetings teake

What caps dit you use 220uf philips/elna/?

I have selfmade loudspeakers with morel supreme speakers and seas excel 13cm woofer in a corian enclosure and a top filter.

I am listening now on my own speakers, for about a few days now. It sounds very good, open, spacy, 3 dimensional and dynamic. The temperature gets stable at 61 degrees after several ours. And it looks as if the sound is getting more stabile after some ours, when I put the amp on, it sounds a little fragile but after half an our, when it gets hot, its in good balance, good bass, very good midds and clean-warm highs. I am a happy listening guy. I 've bin putting two blue leds in the front, and searched if it had some influance on the sound, but it did not. Its great looking. Thanks again evrybody for help. Mayby now its time for me to offer some help! And....... I want to make a Pass Pre. Somebody got some parts? I have allready the enclosure.

I have the same experience. Better sound after warm up and this is exactly as Nelson and many others reported. I am however not able to explain this phenomenon.

so thats at least about 1500W of heat, thats around 1.3MW a year on heat

I have just a little appartment, but have a small but complete Pass system. (amp, pre, dac, phono).
Outside it is freezing right now, but without activating the heating I still have 18 degrees centigrades inside! (probably with a little help from my neighbours) 😎
Now I only have to build me some Aleph X blocks, a mox and go biamp. That way I do not need any heating at all!
This is thinking of the enviroment: a heating system set up completely with otherwise wasted heat.
(And in the summer I will leave open a window)

A question! I got right now on my power supply 4 x 47000 caps from philips, will I get better sound with others? It is sounding very good now, but I like tweaking to see if the sound will change. And what other brand should be better. And wich bypass caps, I now got solens, would be better? and the 220uf,s on the pcb are from BC, is the elna silmic better? Thanks Teake.
