You mean Project16/Prasi CRC? Yes, I used it to test the M2, Babelfish J, and even the Alpha 20 and don’t recall problems but they were all 24v rails. First time with 35v rails.

Will you make another round of the pre amp mb kits? I honestly don't understand the sister boards what so ever.
I think I may have to move the preamp boards over to my Etsy shop as it’s too hard to keep track of the occasional request for boards here on a GB format. I will need to order more boards as all out at this point.
The daughter cards contain the core amp module. It lets you make different ones to tailor to your needs. Gain, headphone amp, bias current, components, etc. swappable gain is a useful addition to any preamp. The cores are very cost effective.

I agree. If you use Etsy it will be much easier to sell a small stockpile over time.
The tortoise wins the race, just make sure you have enough postage and packing in stock to keep special trips out to a minimum.

There are some people waiting for more preamp boards and I placed an order a few days ago. However running into some problems with them complaining about the Gerbers having 4 boards on one design. Even though same place made it for me last November. Anyhow, it may be another 10days until I get them.
The Main Boards and TH daughterboards are here in case anyone wants to order them.

...I am using an RK09 Alps pot from my pocket amp and attached a short piece of vinyl tubing to allow the shaft to be operated from the front...
What do you -and others- think about Vishay Cermet pots?

Cermet potentiometers – Audial
Cermet potentiometers of course are not new, but are still relatively unknown. The reason they are used in the Model A is simple: they are sonically clearly superior to any other potentiometer type.
Still, they (apart form being somewhat fragile) have one shortcoming too: low level inter-channel miss-tracking. I am not aware if this was discussed previously anywhere, so more information on this follows...

Here is an alternative heatsink for the the Aksa Lender HPA with higher bias current and 2SA1837. Temps now 67C.
Nice case there, JPS64. Where did you get the fancy heatsink bar for the outputs? I twill be good to see how the creator of the layout assembles the final product with input selector board and extended shafts for selectors.
Looks awesome JP, very similar to my layout plans. Yours is more compact certainly.
I didn't notice the heatsinks until X mentioned them, are they available online somewhere?

The heatsinks are custom made and if fullfilling I´ll produce a batch.
I´ve to find a solution to bring RK09 on the same line as the input selector (delta is 7.9mm).

JP,
Your case and layout looks very sleek 🙂
Hopefully, the DB heatsinks will work well, I’d be interested in those for sure.

Great to see the layout master building his own, JP! Let us know how the rca's work out for you. The ones I have are too close together for the nuts to screw on. Good luck with your build!
There’s a good discussion on the BOM right now in other thread and also JPS64’s own build.
