I removed the cover for technical reasons, initially I used an Odroid C2 for the NNA, which did not fit the hole due to Shanti height 🙂 The case made a friend, who makes them to order. I have never tried the SMPS source.
Makes sense! Have you thought about twisting the XLR cables from the Dac ouput?
An improvements from the Odroid to the Allo?
Edit: They are twisted!
Yes, the improvement was clear. As if I set aside a curtain in front of the speakers. Very clear and with many microdetails in the sound

Thanks Vitalica 🙂
Sonny (and all ye good folks in here), Does the Mirand DAC support native DSD on Linux? cdsgames from Allo says this prevent problems with clicks and pops running the usbbridge sig. I think it does from what I have read here but I was just curious (I have yet to try my ver 1.0 dac as I have no setup right now) BR, Per

Yes, native DSD under Linux up to DSD 256. Been using it this way since the beginning with version 1.0 of the DAC.
With the USBridge 'classic' I have no problems of pop's and clicks with V1.0 , DSD native under Linux (Gentoo!), up to dsd256.

Thanks Pinnochio and Josef K, That was what I thought, too, but the phrasing "... under Linux" confused me. Thanks again. BR, Per

What's the thickness of the front panel? I've been tempting to machine something like yours but haven't found a deserved project...You are perfectly right, you do not see any screw🙂
Hi beardman, Sonnya reported July 13 that he had solved the problem with distorted spdif and toslink in ver 1.2 (with a firmware update) See this post BR, PerHave any off you problem with crackle ,when you use optical input on Dac v1.2

Tonight I finished assembling Mirand A1V12 in a new case (Cresnet SMPS Audio SMPS units for sale). And again I am very happy with this amplifier, it is my favorite in the AB class🙂 And this is the first time I have listened to it with Mirand DAC 1.2a, USBbridge sig, Sghanti. Exceptional! And many thanks to Sonny !!!

Honestly, I was a long time against SMPS, but now, with Cresnet sources, I do not notice any difference in sound. I also did a blind test with friends, no one could say which is the classic source and which with SMPS from Cresnet 🙂 But, for my peace, I am going to make one with the classic source 🙂
My set-up
Roon streaming into Allo UsBridge Signature with Shanti PSU
Mirand USB DAC V1.2 AKM4490 with dicrete output stage
Mirand A1 V1.2 amp with classic PSU, two 300VA, 0-32v, 0-32v transformers
Speakers PMC TB2i/ KEF LS50
This is one if the best sounding set-up to me and Roon upsampling to DSD256 takes to another level. Currently using DAC volume control, waiting for discrete pre from Sonny. Thanks to Sonny for offering his products.
Have been using it for past 4 months, need to finish case only bought heatsinks the temporary psu housing part of case was from different project.
