Yes, Vit has quite the system! I remember seeing those huge toroids and nice Rifa caps in his power supply.

Is it the tssa v8?I'm glad the cold weather has come, I can take out my 160 Watt "radiators" with 4.2 A bias 🙂 🙂
Warming up to a new week.
Here in the weekend I looking on a amp project I started before I got sick.
It is a 2 channel board based on my gain module design.
It is a complete amp in the sence it only need a transformer anything between 2x24vac to 2x35vac in any power rating between 200 to 800va.
It has build in softstart, DC blocking for transformer, DC protection of speaker.
Output bias current can be adjust to as low as 20mA and up to class A (with limits of course)
In 2 ohm it should be able to handle 250W for 1 second. And 100W@8R and around 200W@4R with 35vac transformer.
This means in cheapest form it can use a bottom plate of 3 to 5 mm as cooling in close to class B or a heatsink for class AB/A.
I do not believe that a complete very good sounding amplifier can be cheaper. It is 2500€ amplifier performance.
I was just doing a quick price calculation of the board.
What I have in mind is the following :
If I can sell :
10pcs - 450€/unit
20pcs - 400€/unit
50pcs - 350€/unit
Payment of the project could be 50% cover material and 50% right before shipping.
That is a safe/conservative price meaning that is a maximum price.
I will go further and finish the design if it has interest.
It is a fully tested amplifier. Customer only has to install power transistors, add a transformer, add iec inlet, add rca and speaker binding post, and mount it in a chassis or on a plate.
If the chassis is ready I would reckon that even a newbie would be able to get it assembled in one day.
Let me know if you all think of the idea. You can ask pinnocchio about the performance of my amps.
Also if you think it is a dead trap.. Let me know.
Of course it has limitation. The is 24.000uF on board and it cannot be extended f. Example
But still it is very good. Maybe 90% of the Mirand A1 v1. 2

That is correct.
2 channel on one board single ended input.
There is also aux power for a frontend board

It’s actually a good idea to be able to make an integrated amplifier.
Maybe an option to add a simple preamplifier with input selection using simple LCD or manual rotary switch as an option board. You had already started a simple preamp, maybe it would be great for an integrated amp? Just a thought...
All the best!

I think this looks really neat Sonny, the V2 amp modules I bought / stored at you until I got the money to have you build it for me, are they much bettee than this amp? BR, Per

Mmhh yes stock is depleted. I have two unsoldered ak4490 and 4 unsoldered ak4493
But I maybe have something new.

This is my preferred DAC chip company! That’s very very sad!!! I’m guessing ESS must be jumping around in total ecstasy...
AK4490EN is still in stock. 1822 of it.
It is a qfn package. Not diy friendly but easy enough to handle on machine or hand with a stencil and a magnifier.

But I guess a lot of the Chinese "too cheap" dacs will disappear.
A wafer fab will take very long time to build again. We are talking at least 1 year. [emoji17]

Have you ever thought about building an input buffer for A Purifi amp module? It seems that you already have all the main parts in your tool kit.

I feel ya Dominic, I heard many kinds of dac as well still akm is my top favourite. It just does everything very well.
Sorry no go for any other types. And I also won't change from mirand.

Yes i have the parts here in my drawer for it. But I do not have the funds to build a stock and buy purifi amp to test it. But if you can find enough people, then I could make a discrete frontend in no time (literally speaker) for it.Sonny
