I think Byrtt is referring to the DCR box that had a TC9 in it that I sent him. A 10F currently resides there as a FAST top speaker.
So,... after spending a few days reading the whole thread (and seeing the resume of all in the last pages!!!), I think that's something really cool, and if kept within reasonable dimensions, something that might end up in the living room!
There are a few hurdles though...
1- I can't find a commercial horn that would work here. Well, that's not completely true. I found a JBL 2352, used... and the owner wants $300 for a pair, only the horns, no drivers. A bit expensive to start cutting holes and see how it goes!

xrk971 is spot on i was curious to examine the actual foam core he use in his builds that is hard to get here, then was so lucky in he sent me those DCR's to study and listen : )
Glad you enjoy hard to get TC9FD's out east, here in EU we lucky get them nearly for free.
Regarding used $300 JBL2352 you mention wonder if P-Audio products can be found in your area in they seemed produced in Thailand. They cheap here in EU i get mine from UK BlueArand and have 1x PH-2723 plus 1x 4528 to exercise with when i find time to benchmark it, also their PH-2380 is with a 2 inch entrance. Will try first with 2 inch SB65WBAC25-4 as in picture below but also intend try 10F and TC9 sticking to many of the good hints weltersys have posted into this thread how horn works, and also will share data when times come. Besides P-Audio is produced in east also SBA is, so think got to be available somewhere in east at okay costs.

I do see buy a ready horn is maybe a better way then make one myself, special when it is not as expensive to buy one.

Looked up P-Audio and SBA.
P-Audio is from Thailand indeed. No Taiwan distributor... but last time, I was able to get some products from Thailand and that was ok.
SBA is made in Indonesia, and no Taiwan distributor either. Looks harder to get. Indonesia and Taiwan do not have a great relationship.

Got my P-Audio horns from UK Blue Aran - Professional Sound and Lighting where they little steep on shipping costs but stuff arrives as promised, they also seems in stock GE shop Lautsprecherbau und PA-Technik. Look for PH-4528 PH-2723 or PH-2380 they all 2 inch entrance with bit different dispersion pattern so should probably take 2 inch full rangers as SB65WBAC25-4 without too much work but probably also 10F/TC9/FRS8M with a little more test work to create a optimal adaptor.
With the Internet available that has never been a problem for me 🙂. Parts of my arrays come from Germany, the UK etc. Even cheaper than buying local.
One of the times I actually used an audio shop from the Netherlands I had to wait for well over a month to get my parts. Driving classic cars has turned me into a world wide shopper. Even though some parts are made in Germany I could get them cheaper trough importing, even including duties and shipping fees from the US. But it's always changing. Shopping around does help.
Okay maybe a light in the dark then that you can probably some way get P-Audio cheap horns from Thailand, sorry Indonesia and Taiwan haven't a great relationship, wish everyone on earth had plenty money on their account and also a nice home to live in then relationship between people and countries probably been better.

Wasn't the design onto onni's thread i previous linked something she can get in love with, it looks to get a real high performer but will take some work in all regards from planning to execution.

It's all in the finesse... look at what bushmeister did to arrive at his results. Onni is on a similar path, mind the details and the results will be better. No matter which one you would choose. (and start with good performing drivers!)
You might want to look at Welsyersys' horn as well - I had a hand in the original simulations of that design which appears to work real well. It's PA though (loud). Take a look at the level of fit and finish Jennygirl has done on it. It uses the B&C 10CL51 10in woofer but I think almost any 10in woofer with lower Q could be made to work. Also need a 1.4in or 2in compression driver or a 2.5in full range like an SB65WBAC25-4. So it would be more along the lines of a conical FAST horn.

😀 weltersys have 4x TC9 on duty per side....he did take part and share a lot in this thread. Picture below is from weltersys own thread, the one that X link to regarding Jennygirl's new horn build.
Myself talks mostly 10F because i have it and also motor is stronger to push into a horn, but its nearly 7x the cost a TC9 and is not 7x better on sound, feel in camparison its some smaller finesse better than TC9 when used as open direct radiator.

Just came across this waveguide in PE, very affordable. Would it work to be modified into a synergy horn? Would the exponential flare sound honky?
The horn walls seem flat and relatively easy to attach the mid woofer taps.

Its only 1 inch entrance so guess will rule out using full range cone driver but should work with compression drivers or dome tweeters. Cost seems so affordable it cant hurt give it a try how sound is : )
There are some 1.5in full range cone, would something like this work?

Now to look for a woofer, how about a pair of the 4in hivi B4N woofers?

Mid-tweeter looks have a weak motor but at cost $3.75 nearly nothing to loose give it a try : )
That horn is a 1kHz horn that is only 5.6in deep. You won't have much room to mount a woofer larger than 5in dia. The directivity only goes down to 1kHz so it's not the best choice. But so cheap give it try?
