Don't forget to click the "7% off coupon" on their main page before you order. That would really tick me off if I ordered and then found out that was there! It's sort of silly for them to make you do that, but oh well - it makes it $204.77 shipped internationally.

inspiration from me, thats wicked, tell you who helped me a some, ACE, he's the man, got loads of advice from him, about angles, measurements, the build i found easy, built it in 2 days, proper quick man, thats how EAGER i was, just used 5mm, plastic, simple things,

also. i DONT recommend usin units you know nothing about, there could be problems inside, that make it very hard to use, trust me, stick with what people have used, my lilliput cost only like £100, XGA super quality man, go with that, its good, tried and tested is always a safe bet, last thing you want to do, is go for a crappy low res, lcd, that no one has used then open it to find that its not suitable, i saw a post froma guy that did that, and he was gutted, wasted his cash, go onto ebay, theres loads of lilliput 7" XGA monitors there, remember a shitty lcd will give you a shitty end result,

make sure you post your pics on here,

oh yea, get your optics from ACE, he;s got QUALITY ones man, good stuff,.

peace

This guy has stripped it and found its similar to the lilliput

The lcd that is used is the hitachi (spelling) panel which is used on the lcd from exclusiv-online.com

overall i cant see anything bad about this, seems better than the lilliput (in a way) and its cheaper

+ i dont want to order from HK or china as i have dont it before and had nothing but trouble 🙁

Hmm with it being touchscreen i dont think you can just remove it as its glued to the screen and if removed it leavs marks.

And if not removed you loose alot od brightness due to it.

If you search the forums i think theres a few threads on it

Hey Guys! Not exactly a newbie here, i used the forums about 10 months ago to find out info on making a diy projector. But got caught up with work and then uni, to be honest i completely forgot about this forum and about making the projector.

Hi Nick, im from Brum so a fellow midlander! I hope i can pick your brains on where to order the equipment!

I have an understanding of how the projecotrs work and made. But i really got lost on exactly what parts to order. All these products have such varying specification its seems difficult to get all the components compaitable with each other.

Anyway, i've since finished my degree, just doing part-time work, I MEAN COME ON, I SPENT 17 YEARS OF MY LIFE IN EDUCATION I NEED SOME TIME OUT!!!! lol. Basically, i have time and money to spare. So i'll be taking a keen interest to the forums here and start hopefully soon start on my own project!
