this is my plan for cooling, please comment on this on how i can make it better 🙂
i am unsue about the 60mm fan above the psu as i need to bring air into that area of the projector

That will not work, the two 80mm fans will suck in the warm air again that blows out to the left.
Comming along nicely there nick...good too see you got some pics of it on the forum for us all to have a peek at bud 🙂 Keep up the good work looking forward to seeing more as you progress mate
If that 'something' isn't some form of duct or vent to direct the hot air to the rear of the box this would be a very simple solution to the problem nick 🙂
its something that redirects air that my freind is going to give me i hope
thats not my main concern at the moment, its
where to place the other fans

Well thats one problem sorted nick 🙂
As for the other fan placement, I would suggest relocating your ballast to behind the mirror...it looks like you could make it fit, might need to relocate the mirror a little more forward towards the lcd, but that wouldnt be a problem mate 🙂 Then you can whack ya fans in where the ballast is currently fixed in your projector now 🙂
Hope this might be of some help for you bud ...

not overly hot it does get warm, but that isn't an issue if it was behind the mirror, I gather you will be mounting the control panel from the lcd there also? If so it wont be an issue with the heat...moving it will open up the area prior to the lcd for the addition of fans mate 🙂 and believe me with that 400 watt you will need them lol...
I think i might try mounting a 120mm fan at the top between the bulb and frensel see what affect that has
As you have seen on my PJ nick I use the 2x120mm fans running on approx 1/2 speed and they work extremely well...I think one blowing air across the light path (where you currently have those 2x80mm fans) and moving the ballast to before mentioned location would probably be your best bet (running full speed) other than using a cold mirror of course. (unfortuneatly this wasn't an option for myself as cold mirrors aint available in OZ!) Purhaps you could try one though nick, place it after your condensor 🙂 Good luck with it anyways bud, eagerley awaiting more shots of the progress mate, keep up the good work 🙂
I read your post about you being able to keep your finger next to the condenser for 30 secs so yuor cooling must be good 😛
what would you say to putting a fan (pusing air out) on the front of the projector somewhere where the ballase is as if i have 2x 92mm pushhing air in and 1x 120mm pushing air in and then 60mm pushing air over the bulb there isnt alot of air going out

Personally i would do away with the 2 fans you have there and replace it with 1x120mm with a vent directly opposite it on the otherside of the PJ. On the same side the 120mm fan is, mount a 92mm fan on your light engine blowing across the lamp and again out through a vent and/or use your other 92mm fan in a "push pull setup" across the lamp as I have done with my 2x120mm. You will lose a bit of light out of both fans this way but you have a **** load to start with using the 400watt lol...
Well just tried to see if the ballast would fit behind the mirror and i would have to move the support around 3-4cm which would mean the lcd cant go into place, i could mount it on the side but its to tall 🙁 suppose i could cut part of the metal from the bottom off as its only around 3mm to tall but i dont really want to do that and there would be no room for the lcd bord really
lol found a way in which it will fit
it will go sideways on its side, and there should be JUST enouth room for the control board
is it ok to mount it so close to the board?

Damn nick thats a b u g g e r... uhm, damn...not much other alternative really is there mate, short of knocking up a slightly larger case for it.
