The special order pots are on back-order until mid January.
So I won't be able to ship parts kits until up then. See below:

652-91A1A-B24-B13 5/8" LINEAR 5K 20% 50
Bourns Panel Mount Potentiometers
This product is expected to be in stock by 01-17-08 <---

Digikey seems to have these in stock:

91A1A-B24-B13L-ND

I'm assuming the last "L" refers to RoHS compliance?

For 25 we could get $3.69 / each

Good news for the late participants. I was able to get some more motors. So I still have 4-5 motors left (still not decided if I'll keep a spare for me or not).
Place your order rapidly, this is the absolute last call :hot:

I have the orders for these new members: XaQ, Tengsimon, Nanook, Sang Oh, I'll be contacting you today for the payment.

Still no reply from Nameci.

Are there any motor plates left ?? I already have an enclosure for motor but I realized that actually having a custom made plate and original screws would be nice (where I had my mind earlier) What is the consensus with the pulley ?? Should I buy the motor ??I have no spare money and spent ~$100 3 years ago on 110189 ,motor how much better would be the new Maxon? Regards, L

PS What's the dimension of PCB ?

Hi Limono. You should read the thread all the info is there 😀

But I'm a nice guy. Yes, still time to buy some parts but pay rapidly please... Send me an email at bergeron.syl@videotron.qc.ca

The plate, price 38$.

Custom pulley is coming. It is a must to use both speed and better performance. Price should be around 25$.
The one that buy the custom pulley or the Teres could also get the mylar tape for a few bucks.

PCB dimensions: 6.30" width X 5.175" depth. It was design to fit into an Hammond 1455T2201 enclosure if you wish to use it...

The controller is designed to work only with the Maxon motor specified and the custom pulley that has a diameter of about 17mm, larger than most normal pulley that are usually smaller in diameter.

I still have motors 90$ and PCB 25$ to sell. Still time to order a custom plate (few days left). I may have some parts left for the PCB, but not all parts...

Act rapidly. Once the plate manufacturing will be done, we won't make more...

As I said to other, there will be a final price correction at the time of shipping to be sure I don't loose money.

Bye.

oooh Now I'm interested in sending you my 110189 motor so you can check it out too with Teres pulley if the thing will work out. If it does I could buy it (teres pulley ) from you (assuming that you're going with the custom pulley) 😀
I have to sleep over to decide if I'm going to purchase another motor (instead of winter shoes )
:smash:

Guest what just arrived in the mail? The first 4 motors. Swiss made, that looks cool🙂

Two will go the two members that are building the custom plate and the pulley, so they can check their design with the actual motor. I'll keep one for testing. Delivery date from the Maxon factory is still not known.

You can see my own Teres pulley with a thru hole for testing, so I can remove it easily. Thanks rclourenco for your help on this. Very appreciated.

Just got info from Simon of DiySupply that they have 8 Silver pods in stock. I'll order the rest of the pods right now. I need 7-8.

There is still one guy that he's not sure for the pod. If I don't hear from him soon, then I'll decide for him and I won't order his pod.

Simon mentionned that the next batch will take sometime to get and will be more expensive. We got hem just in time 😀

Still no replay from Nanook and Sang Oh. I guest it is Thanksgiving holidays, so let wait until monday.

Received rest of the first parts order today. I'll be able to start assembling parts kits.

Received also the BIX Pods, 5 black and 4 Silver. They weight a ton :hot: 1Kg each. Fit and finish is good, not Mark Levinson finish but real good. With a little lead bead addition, it will be a very nice and heavy motor pod.

First test with actual Maxon Motor and Mark Kelly Controller:

Test Condition:
Michell Technodec platter diam: 305mm
Custom Teres Pulley diam: 11mm (Actual Teres = 10.47mm)
Platter/Pulley ratio = 27.7
Measured speed using a strobe.

R motor = 70 ohms
Motor Specs are 126rpm/V, 33-1/3rpm = motor 941 rpm= 7.5V, 45rpm = motor 1271rpm= 10.0V

Test results:
33-1/3 rpm, V motor = 7.45V, I motor = 8.0ma (Ref jumper = Current), pretty close to the motor specs

45rpm = Cannot reach this speed, even with the maximum controller voltage range (Ref jumper = GND, no current control, so no speed control either...). Maximum V motor = 8.68V (The battery is still not fully charged but close at 12.0V, it will be even lower when the battery discharge)

To reach 45rpm, the motor needs 10.0V, right on the motor specs...

So the Teres pulley will work at 33 rpm only.

The custom Pulley is a must to support both speeds.
