Yes makes sense thank you! So would you do that just over the series resistor? And the only reason I would do this is if the ps95 is too quiet and I want more mid/highs?If you were to add a link wire over the resistor as to 'bypass' it, would be to 'short' it. Meaning the resistor has negligible affect as the signal will want to take the path of least resistance (the wire). Does this make sense?!
Oh you bugger, X! I'm going to have to build a pair of these. I want to hear what you're describing. They seem to be one of the best value for money builds given the positive reviews of constructors, and they're relatively simple. Brilliant!
My wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday. When I said a pair of Dayton RS225's, she first said what the hell are they, and when told, just rolled her eyes...
Unfortunately they are quite a bit more expensive here than in the States. But still cheap given their apparent performance. Besides, most good drivers have to be ordered from overseas, so at least I don't waste the budget on shipping.

Haha I told my wife I wanted a pair of 10f’s and I got the same reaction. Unfortunately we are paying for a honeymoon right now and the 10f’s likely won’t make it in Santa’s sleigh this year. So I’m going to build it with ps95-8 instead…for now
If you’ve got access to an ABN from someone, check out Wes components. I believe they are about $160ea AUD when bought from them.Unfortunately they are quite a bit more expensive here than in the States.
Hey X, is it 7” ctc spacing or 7.5”? I see on the first page with the enclosure dimensions, it says 7.5”.Keantoken is using the standard baffle and sealed cabinet dimensions described in post 1. 10in wide and 7in CTC spacing between the woofer and tweeter. Probably an 11in tall sports cone for the full range rear chamber?
Sometimes PE/Dayton has a low cost shipping option on their products. I think Zman01 got a set of RS225’s once this way.Oh you bugger, X! I'm going to have to build a pair of these. Ok I figured as much, just making sure I didn’t miss anything about an enclosure update in the many many pages of this forum

I don't have an ABN but was already getting them from WES anyway; currently $189 each.

Unfortunately the lowest cost shipping they offer comes to AU$241. Mind you, I probably live as far away from PE as anyone on Earth - pretty much the other side of the globe.
I was looking at using the SB23's because they were a little cheaper than the RS225's ($165 @ Wagner/Wes) until I snagged a pair of open box RS225's on the Bay a week ago for $126ea 😦 couldn't pass it up. These things are heavy.
That was a few years back X, and those days are gone. Looks like international shipping costs have gone up significantly. One time PE had a shipping cost sale and I sent a pair of RS225's to Bangladesh for $60 shipping cost. I am not sure how to tell when they have those sales going on - Zman01 told me about it because he was looking for a set for his TL's.
Australian Dollars 189 is US $125. So for a pair Stuey is paying approximately US $90 more vs US prices (PE has RS225-8 listed at $79.88).
I can offer to help send them from the UK? Unfortunately the UK seller only has 1 in stock at the moment. But I'm happy to help.
Thanks, that's very kind of you Jim, but I'll grab them locally. It's just a lot easier all round, and I guess they're less likely to get damaged. That said, they're still coming over 3,000km across Australia, so they aren't THAT close! 🙂
Shipping is only AU$9 so that compensates somewhat for the price difference.

Yes sorry I missed the entire conversation, I thought you were struggling to source them full stop. £79.99 here but with exchange rates and shipping you'll not save much if anything!
