Hi i'm a newbie in diyaudio, how and where to measure the quiescent current when adjusting the bias pot?
thanks

My amp doesn't work... 0V across fuses/10ohm resistors, 36V between + & - fuse clips, no smoke, no transistor heatups when adjusting bias pot, variable dc offset when no output load, but the speaker pops when connecting to output terminal... what could be the problem? does the driver transistors sensistive to heat? I think I overheated them when I soldered it to the pcb...
Thanks!

Can you post pictures, do you connect input GND to PSU GND?
yup, i connected the input and output gnd to psu to gnd ground[/QUOTE]
Picture not clear, but your soldering don't look good.

How to connect this pcb to ax-14 amp, does this have voltage regulation
First is PSU with protect, second is regulated PSU.
Can both be used
Yes both can be used, and some other PSUs.

Ok i'll just try again... will it sound good even if I use ceramic and mylar caps?

Ok i'll just try to make a new one...
Does it sound better than a gainclone even if i use ceramic and mylar caps?

Better than any gainclone, and better than most discrete amps😎
Does this psu provide regulated supply. Also give pcb diag for etching
No, this PSU is with soft start for main transformer and separate protections for each channel.
CAn hv350 be used with sanken 2sc2922-2sa1216 or mjl21193/94, if yes any changes
I want the amp to sound good , but i need more power, which pcb should i use , ax-14 uses just single pair, i dont want to compromise on sound quality.
I completed my tower speakers, installed crossevers, connected to amp,
Result-Bass is good but seems a bit boomy, Mids and highs are not clear dont sound in ratio to lows.
Could this be due to amp . I got this kit and assembled it. Pls check

i need 250 watt rms at 8ohms, but hi-fi sound
HV350 is MOSFET amplifier, BJTs can't be used, I suggest B500 or SR200 from http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/173462-studio-reference-amplifier-4.html post #35, but I not made DIY version pcb jet.
