Can't say, if it sounds better (at the moment it is not connected to my main system) but 96kHz input and output is working on input and al 4 outputs.

Trying your code is ending in an error... have used the hardware name i get in alsamixer but it seems "()" is not alowed.

OK... resampling was no solution... maybe rate adjust 😉
Sound is good for long time, but after some hours crackling and distortion start.
After changing parameters like resampler or rate adjust, everything is fine again.

Best to use completion using tab key - second press will tell you files in that directory. Then you would see that the name in the file is different and X/Y need to be replaced with the actual device and subdevice numbers.

Input rate is Same as Output rate… locked: to me it seems, they are not locked!
Problem: RME drivers are not working on LINUX… driver support is only by Kernal 6.12.x

When you say output clock: you mean the output clock of the playout device?
In the alsamixer settings i tried both: lock to input and lock internal... it seems, it doesn't make a real difference.
It's really strange...
Yesterday i have changed everything to 44.1kHz and since hours it's running stable.
This is for the moment the only stable solution.
Today i have changed back to 96kHz... will see in the evening, if it is still stable... but don't think so.
Another strange thing: captured sampling rate in alsa mixer is mostly just half to the one in camillaDSP. Where the captured rate in camillaDSP is correct!

In this case source file is 96kHz and streamer is running 96kHz as well. When running 44.1 i have 22 but camillaDSP is showing 44.1kHz
@chriss0212 : Did you check that proc file? It would tell you all the stream params passed to the sound card, no need for any guessing.
Maybe this is another hint?
Will try Reaper, what is happening there. Just to find out, if it is camillaDSP or settings or bad implementation in the kernel.
