I used eminence alpha15” 2x and selenium d220ti with the 300b.
A well known design is with coaxial eminence.

Hmm,
I have the 15 inch drivers 15 300tc they are great. Stiff cones and copper cap minimizing distortion
looks like a contender, only thing is EQ is not going to happen, my set is all analog (only a cd player), and i am not really wanting to integrate a Minidsp, with my only 11 Watts that doesn’t sound like a good idea, or do opinions differ?
Wow,I used eminence alpha15” 2x and selenium d220ti with the 300b.

2x15’ per speaker..
Only thing is, that those drivers will be 1000 in total..
That is stretching my budget quite a bit..
How did you make that baffle including the horn?
Saw quite a nice build from Troel Gravsen, with high efficiency, a 3-way.With any speaker with XO look for a flat impedance curve.
dave
But thought (and hoped) that a full range would be nice as well..
The baffle is 2 *20mm mdf glue together. How did you make that baffle including the horn?
The Horn was a ready product from Dayton I think. Sensitivity was about 97db.
I've selected an array comprising Alpair 5.3 for my 10W vented speaker project. Still work in progress [https://www.terrysweb.link/audio/loudspeaker].
Check out the Kirishima horns, I built an earlier version (the Sachiko) and used them for over ten years. Woden audio has numerous options for low powered tube amps as well, same designer.
With those twins and the spacing you will need this: https://www.planet10-hifi.com/downloads/Dual-Driver-Wiring.pdf
With the 4Ω A5x i’d start by trying the series arrangement. Because of the spacing cap will need to be larger (than if they were closer). What is the centre-to-centrte spacing?

I am in contact, they look really good and i might opt for the 175/A back loaded horn speakers!Check Sonido drivers
Thanks
They look very good, are you happy with the sound together with your 300b?The baffle is 2 *20mm mdf glue together.

I couldn’t find anything in the EU, are these US based?Check out the Kirishima horns, I built an earlier version (the Sachiko) and used them for over ten years. Woden audio has numerous options for low powered tube amps as well, same designer.

Vulcan & Avebury (@wodendesign.com) are a step up.
But these all want a fairly large room.

Very interesting amps. I read an old 6moons review that explains the basic design.I have the Lux mono max 300b monoblocks from Diyhifisuply.

They are quite good, i am happy with them, it is just not very powerful, you really need an easy load IMO.Very interesting amps. I read an old 6moons review that explains the basic design.

Greets! My 300b is a type which churns out around 11 Watts single ended Class A.
(monoblocks made by Diyhifisuply, the Lux mono max)
This is a high output impedance amp and based on my long gone pair of 300Bs required a pioneer's driver response with a ~0.5 Qts' rolling off around 80 Hz and 8 kHz for flattest response. (FYI/FWIW/YMMV)
(Qts'): (Qts) + any added series resistance (Rs)
Thanks Dave,https://frugal-horn.com/spawn-plans.html

those would really be way to large for my small room, but they do look great i have to say.

These are the Thiele parameters for the Sonido SFR 175/A drivers i am looking at:
Would this work?
Thanks
