Mini speaker - Japanese 100 Yen shop "Daiso" - 300 Yen speaker's modified model

Just received an "AKLOSPY" USB speaker, it's NOT the 300 yen speaker, it's trash.
Just a cheap look alike. Only one 8002 op amp (2 watts) and the drivers are dreadful

Hi cracked case,

DAISO 300yen speaker's internal amp is also 8002, so it might be the same base.

Yesterday a received two pairs of AUDIOCORE AC870 speakers, defiantly better than the AKLOSPY ones I got earlier; two chips for two channels. I got two pairs because I intend on making a four channel amp, but I will see if I can improve on the circuit for stereo first.

Are all these speakers based on the same geometry, from left to right, like the HB-07 , HB-06 and smaller, or is it not just a matter of simple scaling down?

Hi Dupt.

Sometimes I simply change the width, but usually I design from scratch with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness.
The most important point in design is to cut from a fixed size board without waste.

I can confirm that decent fullrange loudspeakers with current drive make me happy soundwise and EQ becomes less important than with voltage drive.

This is due to reduction in distortion and some natural attenuation of F response by current drive.

Ideal combination.

With voltage drive and use of EQ and some resistance in line to mimick a tiny bit of current drive you get good or acceptable results, too.
