We have talked about it in the thread, I think several times. The only value I changed and played with was the 2R2 series resistor for the tweeter. Bewtween 2R7 and 4R are more fitting values for home use, IME. But needs adjusting to taste and room. Obviously, higher values will attenuate the tweeter. The max limit will be when the highs seem a bit muffled. Once there, back down a bit on the value, and you are there.

Probably even more important in open baffle than in boxes, though the CPA-12 boxed frequency response in my room is pretty crappy. Probably doesn’t help that I have heavy bass losses in the room.

I would have bought 15” drivers
What particular driver are you using?…I might have missed the info in a previous post.

I already built some panels to try my 12” 3149 open baffle with helper woofers.

I wanted to build the MLTL for them since I bought them with no enclosures.

The dimensions for the 15” MLTL almost seem easier to execute because it is not as tall and I think I could pull them off with two sheets of plywood and some scraps.

I may actually try and even easier MLTL first for some Lowther DX4 (Martin King’s). I picked them up dirt cheap. They needed some work, but I appear to have working properly now.

I'm spoiled with bass foundation having from 15" (12" as min) so even not bothering to think about full range enclosure (meaning - bass capable) for anything 8", let alone measly 8" FR of Lowther stable

to each his own, but for me that's putherewhateverdecenttermyouprefer, being spoiled with extraordinary drivers from Yore, manufactured by various European factories, popping up here and there for cheap

as I'm repeating often - if present manufacture, I'm not looking further than Sonido; even with ( unavoidable) rise of prices in last few years, still best bang for the buck around

if I need to put any EQ cell in front of FR driver, it's outa my sight; enough those not needing the same

though - if you got (any) Lowther for cheap, I can only green; play with them but expect wonders only if augmented with proper bass driver

except if wanting to use them as 'puter desk speakers, then feel free to build full range box

Yeah that seems to be the recipe Pa likes.

I have my baffles that I use the 15” AE Dipole woofers on the bottom with his B5. I’m doing a bit of a renovation on them.

I’ve had fantastic results with Lii Audio and the Sonidos on them.

Frustrating that I can only use one speaker at a time on the top!

I only have so many rooms I can try different systems in 😢

So you didn’t add a parallel cap to this resistor and a limiting lpad like here?

At the moment using an hybrid crossover, done with components I had on hand following CPA12 schematic.. will also try to implement this above xover in due time..
Is the series resistance value of 8,2R resistor + 1mH inductor resistance known? i.o.w. should this sum be 8,2R or 8,7R or more?
