Well Ed, time to bend over and take it on the back.Ended up being three tons!
Sounds like you'll be doing that for a number of days.
Ask Mrs. Simon to take pics.
I missed the important bits along the way.in front of my new house.
Best to you Gimp. Man I wish we has a better name to call you.
I have followed your venture, but I missed the part where you were sucking glass fibres for entertainment value.Been serious - at least I’m about done with all the itchy stuff
Oh go on, show off even more, why don't you.At least in this building.
I'm gonna hang out with the regulars like Ed Simon who...
...aw crap never mind,
it's dinner time and the leftover soup is almost ready. Better go enjoy it before the smell stops that from happening.

Well, what I meant was I get to do it all over again, including sucking more fiberglass dust when I’m at the same point in the other building. More of it, too.
Ya ya we got it big shot.when I’m at the same point in the other building.
Septic people did the work. The State Inspector specified the tank size (1000 Gallon) and field length. It took a three man crew four days to get ready for inspection and covering it up.
I am still waiting on the electrician to change out the three breaker boxes. He was supposed to be here last week but came down with something, hopefully not COVID.
The garage work and kitchen remodel should start in two weeks.
I am doing small jobs like stripping up all the baseboard trim, plastering holes and painting. I rented a concrete floor grinder to strip up the previous three layers of paint in the garage. We (son and I) then put down two part epoxy floor finish.

How slippery is that stuff? Thinking about using it for my shop, and I don’t want to go falling on my AWQ. But machine oil, circuit board etching solution, hosing the place out, and other hazards are par for the course.
I bought a Parasound T3 on Audiogon. 300 bucks including splitting the shipping from the East Coast. A reasonable price, not the like the fool that has had one "on sale" for 600 for like three months.
Anyhow, it will complement my Parasound P7 in the den - same remote. So we can listen to the "radio" in there. It will also be easier to start up than the "radio listening" set up in the main living room system.

The floor is not slippery at all. However I suspect it will be slicker than snail snot when it is wet. I suspect the flakes help with slipperiness when wet.
Garage doors get replaced in two weeks (hopefully). Kitchen cabinet style/wood is selected (Light Oak).
Refrigerator, stove and dish washer are due for delivery on Monday.
Rendering of the kitchen is to be given to me next week for approval and then all will be ordered. Hopefully work will begin in two weeks and complete in four. If so, I can put my house up for sale then, and be out in less than four more weeks, before my surgery (Oct 23).
The Electrician has been ill as of last Friday, and I haven't heard from him since then.

It is ok. I was given the name by my teenage daughter in 1998. I was hit head on by a Mazda MX-6 while I was riding a bicycle. I ended up with a multiple commutated fracture of the right Tib/Fib, along with several bulged disks. After three years and five surgeries I ended up with my right leg 5/8" shorter than my left, and a limp. My daughter started calling me The Gimp. (Better than Weeble. Weebles wabble but they don't fall down.) Anyway the name stuck.I missed the important bits along the way.

Hello folks:
I bought a shiny new Dewalt DW735 thickness planer for the wood shop.
I blowed up my other one yesterday morning in a catastrophic sudden stop of the drive rollers. The tail nut on the cutter head spindle managed to vibrate itself loose and do a bit of dancing around in the chain drive reduction gears. The stopping energy was strong enough to sheer a 15mm tool steel shaft clean leaving a sparkly crystalline surface on the broken shaft. When that broke it had a sideways torsional twist that was strong enough to shatter its bushing housing off the cast alloy sub carriage of the planer, again with a crystalline surface. Just like, that non repairable. Parts alone added up to more than the replacement cost. So out with the 20 year old and in with the new one. Cool thing is it is exactly the same as the old one. Mounting bolts are the same so the rolling table is going to be just fine. i should be back in business first thing in the morning.
I am repurposing a stereo cabinet I made in 1986, the kind that had a tv and component stereo stack and tapes and records etc. into a tool crib for all my audio stuff. It will have 23 drawers and a pull out breadboard type shelf. 22 inch full extension slides, drawers are maple cabinet is made from Red Oak with a light coloured finish. Should be big enough to manage most of the hardware and tools and some of the transformers, capacitors and resistors but not the tubes. They are a whole other beast to sort out.
I will try to send some pictures when completed.

Closed yesterday. I have a porch with a view. 1.19 Acres, half wooded, two car garage (read that workshop, I will add a steel car port for the vehicles), 100sq-ft root cellar, and 100 sq-ft canning room. It needs a bunch of work. The only utility is electricity. it has a 350' deep well for water. Water quality report was very good. pH 7.5, 15pts hardness, zero bacteria count.
I am going to be very, very busy for the next 6months to a year.
What state are you in?
In my neighborhood, a 5500 sq foot lot is normal... the new homes are going into 4500 or so.... But per acre, the cost is astronomical. Not even the rich folks have more than 7500 sq foot lots. That sized lot goes for well OVER a mil. More likely OVER two mil nowadays. Nuts, but it is what is is.
An entirely different World.
BTW, I guess I didn't write that I agreed to have a second F4 built as a twin of one the one I got in the full sized, 4U box. So, I shipped that one and I'll have them both with SE and balanced inputs. They will be biased identically. I already have the Front End so the idea is to run two F4s in bridged mode for 100wpc.
I sure hope I like the sound. If not... oh well, I'll have three F4s in the house.
A septic tank.... my sister and brother in law have that.... rather complex, two tiered. I just flush and it goes down here...

It's actually awesome, there's an Audubon Society house in there and you can hike all around the man made lakes fed from our water filtered from our sewer... nothing like walking on the trails and a pair of big herons just walk in front of you, totally used to humans... it's actually awesome...
I sure hope to get a chance to compare the bridged F4s with a FE and Iron Pre Bal with the A2s and CJ preamp driving the Maggies before Christmas.
Life is tough, and then you flush and realize you're helping keep the wildlife in the marsh happy. 🙂

I think I will use my forklift! The problem will be making sure the aisles are clear. My shop is only 1/4 acre and sometimes it gets crowded with inventory and other folks borrowing space for their junk.
tonyEE, I am in Tennessee. NE corner, moving into Unicoi County. Most homes are being built on less than 1/4 acre in housing developments. There are plenty of lots in the county that are up to 25 acres, sometimes even more. Two houses I looked at prior to getting this one were on 2 and 3 acre lots.
Septic systems here are not allowed to empty into any body of water. They are self contained systems, which rely on percolation to get rid of waste.
Fortunately, my system passed state inspection on the second go around. Now I only have to contend with the aftermath of having it installed. Lots of rocks to pick out so I don't try to mow them.
