I just saw this pic while talking to 1 of my co-workers.
The enclosure was in my 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis from 1995-2003.
I can't believe I still had this pic on my work laptop.
From my phone.

If the two isobaric drivers are connected electrically in parallel, as is the case for the design being considered here, then Bl does not change.
If they are connected electrically in series, then Bl doubles.
When wiring 4 drivers, what happens to the BL then?
Series-Parallel = ?
Parallel-Series = ?
I always choose to do Series-Parallel.
With two 8ohm drivers, which scenario provides the best performance, double BL (16ohm) or double amplifier power (4ohm)?

Given that you have been told that Bl doubles for two drivers connected in series but stays the same for two drivers connected in parallel, it should be be possible for you to work out the answer.
For the loudspeaker design you posted there are four possible ways that the drivers can be symmetrically connected, as shown in the attachments. The resulting overall Bl values for the four configurations are:
2S 2s = 4 * Bl
2P 2s = 2 * Bl
2S 2p = 2 * Bl
2P 2p = 1 * Bl

Look at the suspension on that mtx driver ?
the suspension stiffness is non existent 😱
???
Given that:
Sd = 791.73 cm^2
fs = 21 Hz
Vas = 421.92 litres
Qes = 0.5
Qms = 3.84
Then compliance Cms = 4.72E-04 m/N
Stiffness = 1 / Cms = 2118.64 N/m
2S 2s = 4 * Bl
2P 2s = 2 * Bl
2S 2p = 2 * Bl
2P 2p = 1 * Bl
That's exactly how I was thinking.
Sorry, I meant when compared to the 2024 ‘car audio’ equivalent 15” with a vas of 80 liters or so???

It’s deceiving because ‘Bl’ alone doesn’t help me compare anything like ‘Bl^2/Re’ ?That's exactly how I was thinking.

I would hope all 2024 car audio drivers would be an improvement over MTX's lowest model driver from 1993.
What is the 12" driver's name and model number?Try finding a design for this?
I need to know the mounting depth, watts rms, and Xmax.
Compression horn or misaligned TH.this stuff has me baffled(no pun intended😀)
wow! Try finding a design for this?
Is it just a super short coil? I'm struggling to understand how they got that much motor force without a even hung coil setup or similarthis stuff has me baffled(no pun intended😀)
