But the problem for now is you can't get another board even if you buy a complete Essentials which I would do if allowed/available.But from an electronic standpoint, you can totally use two F5m PS boards if you want to.
Thanks, H.
Another amp? I can't live this long...My F5m will go in my NPXP,
What are the benefits? I will read up on the link you posted, but another amp???
Build guide for that speaker?

@Jacruer787 I believe ZM must be Hotblack Desiato's sound man... suitably running things from orbit.
more likely I'm the one observing where each of Papa's heads is looking at, and taking care of towels
no, I'm not Marvin

For Newbies: Which is how many amps?
0.74V/0.47 ohm = 1.57A. Dissipation is 48V*1.57A = 75 watts on Mkrawcz’s big shared heatsinks, so a nice warm temperature.
Pass explains here how higher bias lowers distortion in these types of circuits in the Leaving Class A article.
Best,
Anand.

I guess I better start building then.
Anand, that is true, but please try to not ridicule me You’ve done that to me on two different forums now.
Apologies. Not trying to ridicule, just linking Pass’ document as it pertains to your impression that higher bias sounds better and why. We can take this to PM if you like. And with regards to the note “For the Newbies” that wasn’t to you - perhaps I should have clarified. There are many new members that are wanting to build this amp and they may not realize some of these details. That’s all.
Best,
Anand.
