This is great news, but know we do love and appreciate y'all either way!Improved systems to handle registration of interest, regular communication and alerts of upcoming "events", better handling of bundles, and general stress reduction are on the short-to-medium-term road map.
Alright! 😊. When does the high power version hit store? 😂 LOL. I am a sick man. How many amps does one man need. Onward!
I used to use a sniping service for eBay. Put in my max price you will pay set for 3 seconds before auction ends. Worked like donkey Kong!"He hates these cans!" I did not expect it to sell out so fast. So much for my future predicting statistics. We need to create an 'Optigrab' for purchasing kits at the store.
Looks like I need to order some more boards....

One more....I just need one more. Oh and a set of speakers to go with them too.Alright! 😊. When does the high power version hit store? 😂 LOL. I am a sick man. How many amps does one man need. Onward!

after 5 hours of sale and there are already no more? how many were there?
😭
when it comes back?
😭
when it comes back?
Could somebody please let me have the type/part number of the thermistor on the primary side of the power transformer. Thanks.
Yes I have those but I think they are for the PSU PCB and not for the transformer primary, and the completion kit photo shows a larger green component.
Thanks for CL-60 reference, I'll look them up.

The thermistors @carsten.witt shows, is this the PSU thermistors? The one before transformer is unknown. I have always used CL-60 but in this case it might differ. Someone will come with correct info.
The part included in the kit for use on the primary side is not listed in the BoM in the article (that I can find... but it could be there). It looks to be an SCK108. There are plenty of suitable substitutes as previously mentioned.

The SCK108 looks like a good alternate for the CL-60. It has a larger body size and will dissipate power more readily.
Still 10 Ohm at startup, then decreasing down to 0.2 Ohms or less as it warms up. A good match for the F5m as written up.
I tend to push the boundaries a little with my builds. 😉 The FETs in my initial build will be the FQA28N15 and IXTQ26P20P.
My thermistor of choice is the MS22-20005 to support higher bias currents and larger banks of filter capacitors.

Well.... I got the completion kit but not the essentials... which means I got no boards and no output devices.
How fast did these things go? I got an email sometime during the day but I was at a customer so I couldn't attend to do this until after dinner.
History of my life.... forever in the caboose. I only get to the front of the train when my train derails and I get to jump from the caboose and jump onto the next one coming up.

The essential kits were sold out within half an hour. Per Jason's post here, more will be coming: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/f5m-kit.408290/page-24#post-7619362
