I’d have sold you my DMT cabinets if you were closer and my MLTL were done.
I ordered all the crossover parts this past week.
It’s gonna have to wait as I have other projects SITing on my bench.
Plus wifey is house shopping…that’s really gonna throw a wrench in my plans!
Hopefully when the dust settles I will have plenty more room for big speakers and other toys 😉

I think I could buy complete speakers for the shipping costs of the DMT enclosures...
Other projects..... Sounds familiar🤣
Still have my ra-1412 on the bench.
Waiting for parts...
I made a deal with my wife. I get all the room I want for the big speakers etc.
She gets the garden.
Resulting in me building a greenhouse, birdhouses and shelters for animals. And digging a pond....I finally after two years find the time to start building speakers LOL.
Plenty of egg laying skills. In fact, they are ovulating to the tunes of Leonard Cohen as we speak. Finally found a fitting tree to make TL’s, and they will probably be laying the double amount by Christmas or so.
Will post a pic and a preliminary plan soon. A teaser is that mid and highs are very very good, and a very cohesive soundstage, in original shitboxes. Still dammar treated cones are not yet burnt in which affects everything below xo freq. Still a bit spooky. My wife had me turn down the volume as Leonard Cohen was penetrating her ears. Go figure, Pa, MZM and the Brits had it all figured out beforehand.

I must have missed something as the loudspeakers look like more like Fyne's not tannoys? (looking at the suspension)
Sorry guys, just joking. Those are 40.000 (approx) dollar Fynes. Vintage 15’s. Going to have a listen in store soon, not to buy, just to find out what they are good for.
My plan is to build transmission lines iaw MZM’s superplans, but haven’t started yet. I will never manage having them look anywhere near as good as those Fynes (woodworking skills questionable). But what about sound? I do wonder 🙂

do not wonder
MJK's software does wonder
I just hope Fyne's boxes are better than Tannoy's, these are in majority just waste of material
again, divine drivers, everything else naah
with notable exceptions

No matter what I hear from those it will not affect my plans. But I am kinda hoping I will be able to create a good percentage of that sound from your ML’s and the 3134. Potential seems very good.
Now, wifey has kicked the shitboxes out of the living room. So to listen more to them, I need to get cracking building them ML’s.
Proposed solution to issue has been tried and tested, but no change in outcome. Thanks for the tip though! But sometimes the tip just ain’t enough

you had Fyne, so you know what's their overall impression/character
now, considering that you have 12" and you're going to hear "similar" 15" ........ speaking strictly of Tannoys - differences between sizes are - bigger ones are having better and deeper lows, simply having greater level of authority (so to say), while smaller ones are having slightly better mids
anyhow - no-brainer when speaking of Tanns - snatch biggest ones you can, mount them in garden watering can and your'e good
buy better and bigger watering can, you're good.....er
so, whatever you're going to hear with 15" Fyne, I'm not expecting that you'll be sad when you finish your 12" Tann cabs ....... quite contrary

stop talking, build something ....... or go talking more on Hen's Forums

Hi Andy
I feel you’re pain. I’m making no progress on boxes…or anything really right now. Wifey is obsessed with looking at new houses every free moment.
I did a quick sketch of temporary solution for you…and chickens.
All that is needed is second coupe for stereo 😉

So, since I never have any spare time, I am in a situation where any tweak had to be finished the same day I start it. So here is a 2 hour 3134 OB. A lot to still work on, but it plays. Hope to get the second one up tonight. But approx 8 DB down in the bass, of course, so a bit of Roon EQ had to be employed.
This is temp solution until MLTL’s are finished. But may it be liveable with a helper woofer, some hinged wings for better low end response, paint and etc?
BTW: CPA12’s arent soldered at the driver end. Doing that helps a bunch.

First of all, it sounds boxless - very few artifacts. But there was so little bass at first listen, it sounded a bit like a transistor radio. Need to gain a few DB bass, so plan is to swap sissy woofer wires from Xo (VdH, extremely low gauge!!!) since soldering helped that much. Also, since I have been forced to use EQ, my B1 no longer provides enough gain. So prehaps I will mount a Cinemag at it’s output to get a bit more gain.
Also, I only finished one speaker, so way too early to tell how the soundstage will be, but it sounds promising. It is a low cost little time effort using only materials I allready had, so cost-fun factor is very good.
In this room I will have to figure out a smart solution for wider baffle, that is why I suggested hinges and an extra 30cm on each side, to reach 100 in total.
Btw: the woofer L gauge is sissy I think, could likely be bettered a lot.
