As i understand it, it is there to block DC on the output. Same thing here. Good cap is always good, go way mega fancy? Up to you…
But i am not a luxury cap expert at all, but i plan to do some A/B- listening tests one of these days🙂

So. Well? We sometimes really, really need to EQ the retarded old paper thin mix.
But…
Then? What is a really fantastic soundmix?
Here With a added value, truely fantastic, video mix. In my book: Truely Fullrange, dynamic, juicey, live, powerfully bass rich, and musically engageing.
Here is one in my book: No EQ needed:
Enjoy!!! 🎷🙂🎸

So come on then how would you disable the high filter section? I'm sure it's obvious to most but not to me!
That's great, thanks a lot. Ideally I would like to be able to switch the treble filter on and off but a bass only circuit will be great to start with. My first target is my Mark Audio Alpair 10P drivers which to my ears need nothing taken off the top end but a bit more bass is always welcome.
I'm still waiting for my EQ kit to arrive, but would like to play around with MicroCAP. Anyone willing to share the schematic (CIR) file for this circuit? It would be very helpful and save a lot of time, for me anyway.
Where should the two 100R resistors included in the kit be used? In the schematic, both R7 and R9 are specified as 100R (thus 4 resistors). Strangely, the BOM has them as 100K.
Edit:
Just searched for a BOM in this thread and couldn't find one. So maybe I drew up the BOM from the schematic myself and made the 100K mistake.
But I'd still like to know why there are only two 100R resistors and where they go.

The 100 ohm resistors are Source to ground on the CCS Jfets. They are matched to the Vp for about 10 mA bias.
Thank you Nelson. I have missed that if it was mentioned somewhere.
That means they are for R7 (not for R9 which is the same resistance).

Where does this EQ work best? Before or after a preamp? Or doesn't it matter?
I'll be trying to "civilize" 12 inch Audio Nirvana Classic FR drivers that I'm extremely happy with actually, but they're not perfect.
