Well, I feel better now... we beat the mathematicians! 😉

I knew it... after all WE know that, when you stop rowing, the boat will come to a stop.. so while the Mathematicians stay on the middle of the lake all night because they KNOW the boat will slow down asymptotically, and NEVER come to a stop... we physicists call it a day and retreat to the nice lakeside diner where we have a great BBQ and lots of good beer. Hopefully followed by good mechanical harmonic motion experiments and a great night's rest.
That is good for the IQ, you see?

IQ might not be the best measure of intelligence, but it will be hard for it to be displaced by a better one, because it's accepted by most people. Is sudoku a guide to intelligence?
The sense of life for children in Columbian jungle is to coco to survive.... you just have to look at the soil...it is everywhere there... If they crashed in Central Park they had survived ten minutes.

Hmm
Doesn't work....
It's interesting to see lust listed as a sin, while it is the #1 thing that keeps humanity, as a species, in existence. 😎
Goes for any species, really.

No, they would have been on CNN in 6 minutes ;-)The sense of life for children in Columbian jungle is to coco to survive.... you just have to look at the soil...it is everywhere there... If they crashed in Central Park they had survived ten minutes.
To supply the CNN with coco...lol. Columbians are more and more inventive to supply their craft.
Seems if one was taking the side of the devil the "cures" would be the other way around. Also, don't forget >

Unfortunately I was indoctrinated as a child into being a "do-gooder" by my mother. This was long before I realized this was happening (caused by less than a fortunate IQ by dads reckoning). My psychiatrist identified this as a 'do-gooder disorder" or "DGD". Apparently this is destined to come under the umbrella of an obsessive compulsive disorder or "OCD", to be voted on by the Psychiatric Association at next months social.
The following is a list of mental disorders as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). My psychiatrist advised that being a human disorder is quite common, that in having one or more of the disorders identified in the list one can seek help, perhaps just to join a "human disorder support group anonymous" or "HDSGA", to spend more time with the in-laws, or my favourite, concentrating more attentively to the realism of birds chirping in the woods.

Hey there Hierfi,
I can very much relate to what you wrote.
I reached a point where I totally believed the saying: "Nice guys finish last" or 'Nice Guys Can Never Win'.
Going back to a really hard time, I remember finding great peace & calm by listening to Bird Song & Water on YouTube.
I now have the benefit of multi-medication, it took a very long time to get it right.
In all honesty, it has allways been my intention to be & do good.
This far 'down the line', I have to believe - there are evil people out there.

That's the idea in the movie "Idiocracy".
Do reproduce, dumbs only and we see the result a couple of centuries later.
Anecdotally this seems to be true.
I know people that planned their families, and typically had only one child, and had that child in their thirties after they bought a house and banked some money. On the other hand, I have known some people that had babies with multiple partners etc when they couldn't even take care of themselves. This seemed to be associated with social class.
I had solid criteria in place before I was going to allow myself to become a parent. This criteria revolved around finances, owning a home, and being married. By the time I was even close to my criteria I was over 40. And ten years later I no longer met two of the three criteria.
Becoming a parent over 40 doesn't seem like a good plan to me. Does this make me smart, or stupid? I say stupid because if you're going to have kids, you best do it while you're young.
@Fast Eddie D
The realization hit me at 33 that I wasn't gonna be a Messiah... so we had babies then. Besides, you know what they say about women having their babies before they turned 30? So we had both of ours before my wife got too old.
By then we even had a pretty good stereo, two Sony 25XBR TVs and a house in suburbia.
Funny story... so we tried for a while for the first one... and nothing was happening. I mean, I was having fun, the best time of my life! Wife got tested, she was OK, so the doctor told her that if she didn't conceive soon they'd have to test... ME.
Well, that was an affront to my Iberian/Carthaginian/Etruscan/Visigoth/Navarran/Frankish genes... Quien Es Mas Macho?. So, the fun times were over... in less than a month, Yours Truly delivered. ;-)

Pretty much. It also correlates pretty well with ability to succeed in school, assuming one puts forth some effort to learn of course. It is also known that certain minimum IQ scores correlate with ability to become educated enough to enter into certain professions. An IQ test tests your ability to perform an IQ test 😎

There are even aspects of very old parents not being fair on the children.
However, there is one other thing regarding older parents, and that is:
With older age comes the increased probability of more Epigenetic information being passed on.
