Could you please show the speaker driver's back & label so there would be no doubt which one it really is? Thanks.Comparing them once more with my Maggies and solid state
Those F15' s are incredible at 450 euros.
But as a dipole speaker they need room at the back to breath just like the Maggies.
Maybe that explaines some of the bad reviews.
same color label as the ones I picked up through the Liiaudio website recently. (i passed on the fast 15 ) My baffles are taller w same width -the driver elevated to near ear level. This has been my introduction to full range & open baffle and I'm pleased 3 months out. midrange / vocals / strings / etc.. very nice. Bass is good to 70 hz. My only criticism is the sweet spot is narrow, which doesn't surprise me, but for $450 delivered, not to much to fault. Of course I will eventually want a proper 2 way dipole like what Perry Marshall designed & shared in the forum, but these will do for the time being...

I have a driver very similar to this one, it's possibly produced at the same factory. I've attached the current data sheet. I've been VERY happy with the Audio Nirvana driver. I think this bodes well for the Chinese sourced driver.Well, the taobao Lii storefront has six buyer remarks dated 5/25-10/22, take them with a pinch of salt:
(Chinglish translation)
10/22 Even naked very good effect.
7/08 Washbasin-size, sound quality very good [vid snipet].
6/24 First-rate workmanship, good-looking, full and clean sound.
7/17 Sound delineated not thin and tight; balanced, after burn-in should be even looser extended; very satisfied long-time cooperation.
9/09 Have expectatons once in cabs.
5/25 DIY, listening before paper-barrels arrive, mid and HF excellent, even cab-less bass not bad.
According to the product description, Qts=0.99, requires less than 150L for bass, even naked has audible 90hz.

The Lii F-15's sound way better with my old Denon PMA 2000 ivR solid state than with the Cayin cs55a tube amp I bought.Way better .
People don't like when I say dipoles NEED to be 6' or more from the front wall.
That gives a lovely 12ms echo that is also knocked down in level due to the distance.
Or, use foam, rock wool, whatever on the wall behind the speaker if have to be closer than 6' or 2 meters...
Good to hear on the sibelius.

I' ve had Tannoy D900' s 10 inch coaxial with 10 iinch woofer.I think this thread has gotten a bit silly. I had asked about a comparison between F-15 and Fast-15 intending to hear of opinions from folks who had them both.. I also assumed, probably foolishly, the drivers would be from lii-audio.com. I’d still like to hear of that comparison; sadly, I can’t afford the 15” Tannoy divers I really want..
I like my diy Lii F15' s a lot more.

Gentlemen,
I spend some time to read this thread.
I am in China since few months and have to stay here a bit. I went with few equipment especially stidio active monitors, to be able to listen to some music.
But was pretty sure to buy something more fun (studio monitors are clear and linear and bla bla bla, but not fun). I read Decaware thread about the F15 and seen some video on youtube, and was determined to do something, an OB with cheap speakers. Then I went into trouble. There was some parts on Taobao with a certain price, and different parts on western website, not the same published measurments and something ununderstandable for me. I was in relation with the "fake" company, offering me to buy a finished product like the one on decaware, for 1000€ (F15) or 1200 (FAST15). When I ask why the QTS of 0.5 on their website, they told my it's difficult to explain to me, but was ok for an OB.
Now, I know. So I bought a pair of FAST15 for near nothing, 2 planks of wood and the total cost is near 400€. Waiting for delivery. And if I don't like it, not a problem, just some time to spend on a project, it's also possible to learn from fails.
Anyway, huge thanks for this thread and tanks a lot @caisson rj !

I have the Fast 15's from the other Lii Audio who now brand themselves as Lii Song. I don't like them. But yours are completely different speakers from a different company. Did you buy them on Aliexpress?
That makes sense. That Lii Audio only sells in China and some companies resell them on Aliexpress to foreign buyers. As far as I know there isn't any objective comparison about which company makes the better speakers. Your company does seem to be the "original" Lii Audio but that doesn't mean they are the best although they may well be.
This is not a problem for me. I just want to spend a little budget, for fun and spend my time in another subjects than computer science.
I've bought a little amp yesterday to drive them for test. The Fosi BT20A pro measured here

For 53€.
