How did you implement the crosstalk cancellation? Is that something specific to JRiver or is it something that can be recreated with the usual mixer/IIR/FIR trickery?I run a full DSP setup with it and if I can dream up an experiment to try, I can create it within JRiver. I used it to do cross talk cancellation, handle the streams that go to: mains, ambient and subs, all while running FIR convolution on all channels.
It's something I've been wanting to try, just not sure about how to go about it yet.
I mostly use LG blue ray network player BD390 or Rotel RCD951 as transport for my CD collection. DAC is my work with four PCM1702 in parallel per channel. I rarely use a PC(only with WASAPI ) although I have a lot of music in flac format on my HDDs.
Living room music sources:
Additionally there is a Sony TA-F530ES to have the option of driving passive speakers and latest a SMSL C100 DAC connected to it for playing around a bit.
Home office music sources:
- Yamaha CD-S300 CD-player
- Yamaha NP-S303 network player controlled via Apple Ipad for Spotify and Tidal
- LG 55"-TV

Home office music sources:
- Midi-tower PC with Asus Xonar DX soundcard (which I also use for all my loudspeaker measurements)
- Thorens TD320 record player with Ortofon VM red pickup on NAD PP-1 phono preamp

I think the easiest I can explain is by pointing to the Fixing the Stereo Phantom Center thread. I think I must have tried each and every kind of trickery mentioned in that thread and ended up with a combination of a few of those things. Done with (some linear phase) equalizer plugins, some mid/side techniques and other stuff. (*)
I've explained most of in in my own thread, but that has grown to impossible proportions to wade trough. I guess searching my thread for mid/side or cross talk should help get to the bottom of it much quicker. I've tried most of the plugins that were available over on ambiophonics.org. My intention with pointing towards the "Fixing ..." thread is not derailing this thread once again, so I'll shut up now. Feel free to discus it more in depth on @Pano or my thread though.
(*) As JRiver accepts plugins, I added Metaplugin, a VST plugin host program, much like Bidule. Plugins like these offer the freedom to route your audio at will however you see fit.

I’ve got a pi+moode and a IQaudio power dac thing for the mrs. With a pair of CHN50s speakers stuck together.
It worked (with touch screen) and is one of the systems i need to finish. I felt that needed better filtering and the pi needs a quick powerdown kernel build.
I have an old myryad mc100 that gets used for CDs. No real reason to make changes other than renew the 26y/o electrolytic caps (the player’s internal circuits are always live).
I have the parts for MarcelvG’s RTZ DAC and that will be fed from a mac mini and to my headphone amp (hybrid circlotron) which will make use of the balanced output.

Raspberry PI3 with Hifiberry Digi+pro, to modded DCX2496, active, to 6 channel pre and poweramp ( Yamaha RX-V3800 ).
Anybody here implemented my DCX mod?

Foobar, VLC, Adobe Audition on PCs for FLAC, Wave files. Old Sony CD player from '90s, Pioneer DVD player, decade old Panasonic BD (sounds brighter than all of my sources -?). Digital sources via Toslink or Coax to older Denon AVR. DIY spkrs.
APO EQ for all my headphone listening from PCs.
Sonarworks, Wavelet, Onkyo HF player on Android cellphone for headphones (HD 6XX, moded 58X as per Solderdude recommendations, ATH-M50X BT (it really needs EQ to sound right), and some other 'junk').

I ripped my CD & HD music into lossless flac format, stored on two nas servers on the home network. It is streamed to music apps on my Fire TV then fed to my Topping E30/Aiyima A07 via toslink. Very simple and effective. yet sounds excellent.
Asus laptop with Jriver media player with output to Dac and then Cambridge Audio Cxa60 amp. I have 4 terabytes of audio files which are primarily flac.
RaspberryPi based Allo Digione streamer to Denafrips Ares II DAC. I use the Allo as an end point for Roon, or Tidal Connect.
