I have six of them (3886TF) I'd let go for a third of that. 30 is scalper prices. Not possible, it's 30usd each
They go for $7.50~$10 each in singles from authorized retailers.

...except no authorized retailer has any in stock. Digikey just punted on both my orders. I have an order of 500 from about a year ago that was supposed to ship in February. The lead time is now "The manufacturer is currently unable to commit to a delivery date".They go for $7.50~$10 each in singles from authorized retailers.

Unfortunate but still.
Put it this way, do you think a 300% increase in price on them is fair considering the scarcity? Especially in your role as a small scale manufacturer/designer using them to produce kits and products?
Wonder if I could trade them for a pair of used console-pull or similar SE tube output transformers 🤔

The continuing chip shortages and high prices is very "convenient" for the suppliers. I keep reading that the fab bottleneck is over, but it doesn't seem that way.
The package and test factories in Malaysia seem to be running smoothly

TI Store LM3886
I ordered a few, if anyone is desperate, PM me for a few.
It says Out of Stock for me.

Wow, that sucks. What do you then? Redesign? Redo your products?
I did.
Unable to make 50/60W (LM3886) and 25W(TDA2050) Guitar amps I designed a 50W discrete one, still no solution for the 25W ones, although Profusion PLC, which IS trustable, has Taiwan made ones.
So one of these days I´ll pull the trigger on 200 of them, minimum quantity to justify Customs, red tape, bribes, redesign, etc.

And when you log into order, it shows the reality:

Try the TF. I bought both types after I posted the first time. They show already shipped to me. Just tried to order more and the site allowed me to do that, but at the last check told me I had to wait 29 days to order again.

How many do you need and where are you?You must be special, then. They all show out of stock for me.
Digikey lists the LM3876 as 'obsolete' so it works only if you already have some or can find some old stock.
I repaired an "impossible" guitar amp, built around a very poorly implemented LM1875 (or 76, same thing) fed crazy +/-47V rails, boosted by a pair TIP35/36, designer could not see all dials firmly in the red , using one of a pair 1875 free samples, got them straight from TI.
Those were the days 😉

Here we have shortage of 3886 just like everywhere else but can still buy a few from small suppliers. TDA2050 OTOH is plentiful, we can still get both made by ST and UTC.... still no solution for the 25W ones ...
