I do have some LM3886T/NOPB on hand that I've been selling with the Modulus-86 and LM3886DR boards. Max one per board. I will also soon (as in within days) have Modulus-86 kits available that includes all the parts so you don't have to go scavenger hunting.Ok. thanks. If Tom doesn't have any on hand I will just move on to something else.

I've signed up for notification on several ICs from TI and haven't received any notification either. I think they might have turned it off as some overseas bots were triggered by that email to buy up the available inventory for the grey market vendors.I have signed up with TI so they should notify me when LM3886 are in stock but they haven't been for over 6 months now.
On a slightly different topic: I happened to play hockey with one of the managers at my assembly house last night. He had an example where a micro controller had gone from $1 (distributor price) to $800 (grey market vendor). The oil & gas company that hired my buddy to assemble their boards just paid up.

Ditto, other thing that crosses my mind is that they probably inform if you are a registered firm with paid email ( not google or hotmail ) or a regular customerI have signed up with TI so they should notify me when LM3886 are in stock but they haven't been for over 6 months now.
I gave up and started playing with tubes, i forgot all about LM3886’s!
Once they stop making 6L6, EL34, KT88, 12AU7, 6SN7, 300B etc…. then ill start crying… and have to succumb to the PWM dystopia

Neurochrome is a registered company with a Canadian business number. My email address ends in @neurochrome.com and I'm a regular customer of TI. So I think I check all the boxes.Ditto, other thing that crosses my mind is that they probably inform if you are a registered firm with paid email ( not google or hotmail ) or a regular customer
I also recall chatter with some of my connections with TI about the notification emails being turned off, but I don't remember if that was speculation or fact. Either way I'm not getting the emails.

They won’t stop, but just have supply chain issues rivaling the LM 3886. Then you will discover TV tubes. PWM dystopia can wait another decade or two.I gave up and started playing with tubes, i forgot all about LM3886’s!

FWIW half World supply of tubes (Russia) was cut off in a jiffy, so tubes are not that trusty either. They won’t stop, but just have supply chain issues rivaling the LM 3886. Then you will discover TV tubes. PWM dystopia can wait another decade or two.
Lower the price then....I have some LM3886TF for sale, but price is too expensive
My expectation is that if the world economic situation slows this year, as central banks are attempting to make happen, semiconductor demand may slow down and availability of things like LM3886 for us mere mortals will get better. Vacuum tubes from Russia may not get better.
The annoying thing is that I have everything together for a little active 3way project using a all in one pcb.
Got everything except the wood and the eight LM3886. Probably have to face the fact that I will have to redesign the electronic side of things.

Yeah, it is getting annoying... I had a 3886 in my Digikey cart back when imminenet shortages were becoming apparent and the big users started bying up stock. I only needed one to replace the one that I ham-handedly blew up while testing it. Still waiting for a replacement fot it, nearly two years later...
The LM3886 is still in production and you can buy them straight from TI for $6.38. The insulated part LM3886TF is $7.60 each. Limit is 10 pieces for either.
Every time I look on their site it says 'out of stock'.The LM3886 is still in production and you can buy them straight from TI for $6.38. The insulated part LM3886TF is $7.60 each. Limit is 10 pieces for either.
So they don’t like you. They have no issues sending me some.Every time I look on their site it says 'out of stock'.
Maybe it´s a way of taking revenge against the UK Crown (and its subjects)
You know, some stuff isn´t easily forgotten or forgiven 😉
