What is going on with HifiEngine?

I was just wondering if anyone knows what is going on with HifiEngine?
Since the past month I think, registrations are not possible anymore.
I've read some posts in this forum about HiFi-Engine being very paranoid.

My IP-Address was banned for no reason and I didn't even have a user account. I just tried to make one. (Maybe I tried it too often...)

Besides that, I was wondering if someone could help me with getting some documents from HiFi-Engine, as I cannot register nor can I download anything. I do however manage to view the site by using a VPN.
I just can't register and now registrations are closed.

Thanks in advance.

It has something to do with them not trusting Verizon IP addresses. They block them on purpose. I asked this over on their sister site, vinylengine, who does not block.

So I registered on my t-mobile phone, but then if you log in with a Verizon IP (ie from home), it wipes your account out.

Seems like a nuclear option they're taking.

That's funny because I am from Germany and my provider is not Verizon, but instead Vodafone, which to my knowledge has nothing to do with Verizon.
Whatever seems like something I did was wrong at some point.

Anyway thanks for explaining what's going on.

I just went over there, maybe I can find what you need. What docs are you looking for?
Well I was looking for several documents actually:

https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/philips/fa650.shtml
It has two documents: pcp-Diagrams and the service manual. I would need both of these, if possible.

https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/pioneer/ct-449.shtml
It has one document: 449/449-S service supplement (ARP2163)
I would need that one, if possible.

https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/technics/rs-tr575.shtml
The service and owners manual would be useful, if possible.

and finally:
https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/onkyo/ta-r200.shtml
The service manual would be useful, if possible.

Thank you for your offer, I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks in advance

Ive been having issues signing up with an account. It says that an account is /already registered with my username/Email, but ive never signed up for an Account. Ive even asked to reset my pas/sword and says the email isnt found. Since it seems like i am unable to create an account Can someone help me get the service manual for a Zenith MC 6020

Same .
I lost my account for an unknown reason and for two years, each time I try to create a new account(PC or smartphone) it says "sorry but registration is not possible from France".
I haven't tried it with a VPN and I won't, that's just not cool.
It doesn't like VPN connections. It won't let me login until I disable mine but otherwise I haven't had any issues.

if you do have problems, delete any cookies, restart your browser and try again.

I have tried everything for almost 3 years, changing browser, cleaning cookies, changing support, changing OS, including writing to them to deactivate my account or solve the problem, without a response from them.

I've been a member on HIFI Engine for years.
But a while back I had the same problems.... able to log on, but for some reasons could not download info or make comments.
So...... I gave up on that crappy site.
Besides, there are plenty of other places to download a service manual, like https://elektrotanya.com/
yes I know the others, but you know what it is, the one you are missing is still on the site which you can no longer access.

That's ok with me.
I've already got thousands of service manuals, schematics, service updates, etc, including what I brought home when we closed the shop in 2016.
And in some cases, I don't need schematics anyway.... hell, I've been servicing equipment for decades I could do it blindfolded now.

If hifiengine is giving you problems, try
https://elektrotanya.com/
This is where all their paranoia started a few years back.Electrotanya mirrored most of the hifiengine database. That's a hungarian site that shares his servers and ip's with some Romanian networks and that triggered both our countries being banned like 5...6 years ago. They litterally blocked all ip adresses coming from my country for many years.I had an account on hifi engine for years before that...since then I can hardly download few schematics, but for most they ask me to make a new account then they block my access after I do it from here.
