Finally I could order another essential kit on thursday. Nelson, did you recognize the stock didn't last 24 hours!
What a success!
But maybe the price is to low, compared to the price of a quad of JFETS in the store. Could it be some people are purchasing an ACA mini essential kit instead of a quad of JFET's?

I was about to purchase the ACA Mini and the Essentials Kit has sold out. Will it be back in stock? Should I go ahead and purchase the Completion Kit now or wait until the Essentials Kit is available?
Hmmm, possibly. It's like getting a significant discount on the LSK170 and LSJ74 plus $20+ worth of free N and P channel Harris MOSFETS....But maybe the price is to low, compared to the price of a quad of JFETS in the store...
JDRoss, there is no doubt they will be restocked. It's up to you whether to order the Completion Kit now. It wouldn't hurt to have it on hand so you don't run into the same problem when the Essentials Kit becomes available.
It has been my intent to get the prices down on my projects so as to get more of them out there.

And those of us with less endowed bank accounts love you for it 😃It has been my intent to get the prices down on my projects so as to get more of them out there.

Hi guys. I just finished building my second ACA Mini and it has what sounds like what is almost white noise on one channel. The noise stops when I short the input to ground. Does anyone have any idea what I screwed up? The other channel is fine, by the way. Thanks!
OK, thanks. I'll do that. I sure hope I did not fry a JFET. Those come matched and cost real money!recheck soldering points, all of them
if that doesn't help, replace JFet or two
All the solder joints have been touched and are good. Time to change a FET I guess :-(but learning ( how not to fry them next time ) is priceless

One or both of the jfets I assume. The noise silencing with a grounded input makes me think input fet. Is there a way to check if it is one of those? Thanks. What fet would that be?
In this case it would be worth considering to bundle the essential- with the completion-kit. This would stop purchases of the essential kit intended to get "reasonable" priced fet'sIt has been my intent to get the prices down on my projects so as to get more of them out there.

Hi there. I’ve put the P089ZB filter on the power supply. Should I bother upsizing the R4s to 22K or will the filter eliminate the switch on glitch? I haven’t finished adjustment (I’m close) and haven’t played with it enough to see the glitch yet.

What an odd suggestion...you probably have too much money, please consider others before writing such comments...Finally I could order another essential kit on thursday. Nelson, did you recognize the stock didn't last 24 hours!

Great idea to add and attach the SMPS filter 👍Hi there. I’ve put the P089ZB filter on the power supply. Should I bother upsizing the R4s to 22K or will the filter eliminate the switch on glitch? I haven’t finished adjustment (I’m close) and haven’t played with it enough to see the glitch yet.

For the 22K I would do it now if your amp is using the 48W power supply.
R4 startup is a non problem never see--btw just some secondHi there. I’ve put the P089ZB filter on the power supply.
