Hi Mighty,
my last missing part is the transformer, and only the Cinemag CMOQ-4LPC is currently available, can it be used without changing the pcb layout?

See first post and schematic. It lists Cinemag CMOQ-4LPC as an option (in fact there are many options).
Best,
Anand.
Thanks Anand, but somebody had some issue with some transformer and I can't find the post.@Plott

Add: I have it, the issue was with an Edcor in another amp.
Solved 🙂

typing from phone so lazy to check - I believe you have 4 types of xformerd noted on sch
Hi Zen mod.
I have got pair of 2sk1530/j201 so replaced today. (K1530 #336/340, J201 #128/374)
Not sure if it's enough matched but that improved a lot.
Detailed and beautiful sound.
I am very appreciated!!!
ACP+ and babelfish m25 making me happy 😊

Just goop, no mica for M101 (IRF510) and Q109 (BD139)? I didn't think silpads would be an issue for these two. Only mica + goop on the backs of the Gemini twins Q101 and Q102, bolted to the same heat sink then?
I guess T1 on the ccs daughter board is used as a cascode?
What about using a deplition mosfet in that position with enough vds to be able to remove the two zener diodes?
Would it be more stable than the simple lt3092 in temp domain?

little daughterboard made from one simple reason - for some time it was impossible to find LT3092 in biggest or mid sized case, and I was reluctant to chase smallest one
thus I tried and found option with LM334
as you can see in datasheet .......... and I did use few tricks more collected from clever ppl, schm I'm using is to achieve best possible TempCo
in short - transistor is not cascode but part ensuring that minuscule/just enough current is going through LM itself, while 1N457 is there to have exactly opposite TempCo
it'll never be as good as with LT3092, but taking context in account (entire amp circuit and drekload of other TempCo involved), practically both solutions are in same quality bracket
so, leave daughterboard as is, whatever packed in small bag - it'll work

I think I know now why ZM guards it like thatthe Princess in the Tower
I'm getting a touch of audio nervosa & could use some reassurance. 😳
The SIT implementation of the Babelfish M25 / SET uses an IRF510 MOSFET to drive the gate of the SIT. Fine, I had a few in my junk box. They test out fine with Vth in the 3.2-3.4 range, but they look old and funky and they are in the dang signal path. Should I have some fancier parts here?

looking good to me
you could avoid half of complications, if not all, just if you did say that you want to build SissySIT, while ordering Babelfish M25 boards
anyway, don't despair, even I'm more than lost in all amps I made in last few years
whatever, last bling in that field is SissySIT (42) ..... which you'll have in the end, with slightly different boards
